born and raised in Texas and I’m gonna be honest I won’t be able to process this tonight. This feels too good to be true

Abbott losing would be the greatest day in Education history for Texas.
In Texas, the commissioner of education had an insane amount of power over funding.
Mike Morath being gone would be a blessing to everyone in education regardless if you are red or blue.

Here's what incumbent Democrat Texas governor Gina Hinojosa campaigned on:
- Ending the STAAR, the state's standardized test
- Stopping state takeovers of school districts
- Ending the $1 billion school "voucher scam"
- Replacing TEA Commissioner Mike Morath

Texas is a really big place. It has the evil people it’s known for but it has streets paved with rainbows and people who fight for each others rights too. Almost everyone I’ve ever loved lives in Texas, and they make me better.
real talk though, i hope now that texas is blue w/ hinojosa and talarico, actual changes are done in Texas that will actually make life better in every aspect, especially with holding refineries accountable and getting rid of data centers.
