We are literally witnessing the mass-destruction of the most important forests in the world. 🌳❌
Thousands of endemic species are being destroyed EVERY day across every island in Indonesia. It’s just unbelievably depressing!!!!!

I am truly fed up with those who mock people who care about the Earth. Clean air matters. Vibrant forests matter. Healthy oceans matter. Animals matter. Biodiversity matters. Creating a livable world for future generations should not be a matter of controversy.

A national park in Indonesia that is practically now entirely palm oil… 😤
Once an extremely rich tropical rainforest with Sumatran Tigers & Elephants, now just a wasteland like everything around it… 🐅🐘❌

1. George's rhetoric produces a reductive flatland, Newtonian (etc), construction of the human space, i.e., the simple binary notion that you don't concede "one inch of ground" or you do.
In reality, all human interaction is paradoxical (as we are spirits not stuff), i.e., both binaries at the same time: (Zen/Taoist) meaning that you have to concede ground to not concede ground.
Concretely the optimal strategy is to:
1. Completely oppose the fascist leadership while at the same love bombing the people who vote for them - at a macro level.
2. Encourage these voters to engage in the act of speech, listen to them, and reflect back what they say at a macro level - my research/experience on this is that 80% of these voters come round to the Left positions within about 3 minutes on the doorstep and 20 minutes in an assembly context.
The upshot is that the far right will not be structurally defeated in the context of the elections but through a mass engagement with working class communities via deep canvassing and local community assemblies over a period of several years.
But the meta reductive paradigm of the secular left cannot understand how this works because it cannot see the human as spirit but only as stuff. Meaning only power (as domination) and not love (as attention).

The level of relative warmth across the Arctic is astonishing.
Some locations are reaching or exceeding 18C above average for the time of year. For context, that's on par with London recording 27C in December.
