I’ve devoted years to developing Æ Theory: a framework linking human agency, political conflict, and institutions to American self-government—asking why reforms endure, erode, or reverse. Beyond culture-war talking points, I’m interested in the difficult work of American repair.

The Stanford Encycl. of Philosophy notes: Christian traditions provided arguments both for and against religious coercion. Luther's defense of conscience, Castellio's toleration arguments, Locke's distinctions between church and government, and Bayle's work on reciprocal respect.

Introducing another profile mascot: Venusaur symbolizes potency, loyalty, and insight.
Solidus Snake is my profile's mascot because he loved the ideals of the Founding. Notwithstanding his felonious resistance against clandestine roundtable groups. I identify with his desire to conserve the Founding. youtu.be/6EENt05b5l0?t=2330 youtube.com/clip/Ugkx7yaHx2A… via @YouTube

They're not supposed to box in cars for this reason. Good thing many jurisdictions have banned police chases in most cases—it's easier to find the suspect later than to put folks in danger now.

But if you could boldly rig definitive social/civil outcomes, what would stop you from providing your family with boons/advantages? Fathers are expected to provide; the more you provide, the better you're recognized as an excellent father. Why not trade integrity for adoration?

That's unremarkable; large populations typically center on bodies of navigable water for the relative ease of transporting building and agricultural goods. What's truly interesting is that Europe has a longer coastline—with more natural harbors—than the entire African continent.
It looks like practically all ancient Greek philosophers were born either in port cities or within one days's walk of salt water:
