Ozzy Osbourne performed at the Mayfair Ballroom in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, as part of his Blizzard of Ozz Tour.
This historic show was the first gig officially billed as “Ozzy Osbourne’s Blizzard of Ozz,” following earlier warm up performances that were billed under names such as The Law.
The lineup featured Ozzy Osbourne on lead vocals, Randy Rhoads on guitar, Bob Daisley on bass, Lee Kerslake on drums, and Lindsay Bridgwater on keyboards.
In a fascinating twist, Ozzy’s former band Black Sabbath were performing across the Atlantic at Nassau Coliseum in New York that same night, with Ronnie James Dio on vocals.

Following the explosive release of Reign in Blood, Slayer made a surprise appearance at L’Amour in Brooklyn, NY, playing a wild 3 song set immediately after Possessed finished their headlining set.
Rick Rubin reportedly walked into the venue with Slayer right as Possessed came off stage, explaining that Slayer had just finished a studio session and wanted to try out a brand new song. They didn’t even bring their own gear, Tom Araya played Jeff Becerra’s black Ibanez Destroyer bass!
The set reportedly included “Angel of Death,” “Die by the Sword” and the live debut of “Jesus Saves.” The crowd erupted as word spread that Slayer was taking the stage, turning the floor into absolute chaos.
One of the wildest surprise performances in underground metal history!

🚨Mötley Crüe Tease Major Las Vegas Announcement: Is a Sphere Residency Coming?
Mötley Crüe have Crüeheads talking after dropping a mysterious Las Vegas teaser that appears to hint at something very big coming on October 19.
The band shared an image of Las Vegas featuring the Sphere, and eagle-eyed fans quickly noticed the Mötley Crüe star prominently visible on the Sphere behind Caesars Palace.
The caption only adds fuel to the speculation, with fans pointing out the Crüe star and calling it a “huge hint.”
Now we know the wait won’t be long. Mötley Crüe are set to reveal exactly what the teaser means on October 19.
Could the band be heading to the Sphere for a new Las Vegas residency or special run of shows?
Or could the clue be pointing toward something at Caesars Palace, perhaps The Colosseum?
At this point, nothing has officially been confirmed, so Crüeheads are left to decode the clues until Monday.
Mötley Crüe already have a long history with Las Vegas, including their previous residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM, making another major Vegas engagement entirely possible.
Whatever the announcement turns out to be, one thing is certain: October 19 can’t come soon enough.
What do you think?
Do you think Mötley Crüe are headed to the Sphere?
Could it be a residency, a handful of special shows, or something completely different?
And what do you think the Mötley Crüe star on the Sphere is actually hinting at?
