Just does the job in a bold and loud way. Being installed between Tollygunge and Shahid Khudiram now, will be done till Dakshineswar later.

1. Howrah Maidan - Santragachi (EXT. of Green Line)
2. Botanical Garden - Bally (Howrah's N-S Metro)

The first push trolley inspection on the Beleghata–IT Centre section of Kavi Subhash–Jai Hind Bimanbandar Metro Corridor (#OrangeLine) has been conducted successfully marking a major milestone for the project. With the viaduct and ballastless track (BLT) works on the section now complete, the stretch is ready for beginning of the electrical works.

RRTS for Kolkata/Bengal region is trending, as it is formally proposed to MoHUA. But what went behind it?
@SarkarSouradip & I teamed up to prepare the masterplan of the proposal after we were approached by an enthusiastic team under @SamikBJP.
Choosing Maidan - The SARAI KALE KHAN of Kolkata.
Maidan is centrally located, having 1 existing metro lines, and 1 proposed HSR terminus. All 4 lines radiate from Maidan, because RRTS should ideally originate from the core of a city, to eliminate the hassle of interchange.
Provision of new Metro Networks using RRTS tracks.
Our Bengal RRTS plan proposes the use of RRTS tracks and run metro rail between Asansol (R.K Mission) - Kalipahari, Kolkata (Maidan) - Budge Budge, and future provision for Kolkata - Kalyani, along with Durgapur Light Metro.

Big victory for people of Kolkata.
I thank Kolkata High Court and Hon Justice Sujoy Paul for passing an order in the Chingrighata case of WPA (P) 297 of 2025 Upamanyu Bhattacharya Vs State of West Bengal & Ors. State has been ordered to give traffic block in January for Orange Line Metro construction which will unironically solve the entire Chingrighata jam once the metro starts running from South Kolkata to Sector V, Salt Lake. More on the same after we get the order copy.
