VBCPS middle and high school students and staff came together for the T.I.D.E. (Togetherness through Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity) Coalition and Ambassadors of Compassion kickoff at the Virginia Beach Sports Center. Each participating school selected up to 20 students to take part, bringing together student leaders from across the division. Students heard from guest speakers, participated in sessions focused on emotional resilience, and had opportunities to build the leadership skills they’ll use to support their peers and school communities. The kickoff launches a year of T.I.D.E. work focused on promoting inclusivity, respect, and positive peer interactions.
