No more 5 hour limits, let's goooo 🔥
We’re renaming our Max plans: Max 5x → Max Max 20x → Ultra Max is still $100/month, and Ultra is still $200. If you’re a subscriber, there’s nothing you need to do. We’re also removing the 5-hour limit for verified Ultra accounts, starting today with most existing subscribers. Newer accounts keep a temporary limit until they’re verified, which helps us prevent fraud and abuse. You'll get an email when it's removed. Weekly limits remain unchanged. Owners of UK security companies: if a client asked for every incident report from one of their sites last month, how long would it take you to send it over?

Last night an AI agent performed brain surgery on a mouse. We gave it 19 gene therapy vectors in a spreadsheet, a mouse model of epilepsy, access to a motorize surgery rig with cameras and one goal: reduce seizures. It picked the drug. It picked the brain region. It derived the coordinates from three papers. Then it drove the stereotaxic arms into the brain and injected 250 nanolitres while watching the entry site through the rig camera for bleeding. A licensed vet gated every irreversible step and held a physical kill switch to stop the AI agent. Thread on what it decided, what it saw, and the moment it refused to let me override it. [Writing this on the spot out of excitement, but I've been 18hrs in front of my laptop coding and coordinating this, so keeping it brief and descriptive, more cohesive thoughts on this soon...]

Passing on someone's description over the radio is harder than it sounds. Town-link radio systems are used in many towns, and the description still has to be said out loud, heard correctly and written down by whoever is listening.

A lot of the manual paperwork in a security company lands on two groups: the admin team and the people on shift. Taking that paperwork out for both is a big part of what we built TacDesk to do.

The SIA's latest compliance and enforcement report covers April to June 2026. In that quarter it revoked 1,553 licences, suspended 378 and refused 475. A suspended licence holder cannot legally work in any licensable sector. If one of your people was suspended tomorrow, how would you find out? gov.uk/government/news/sia-c…

Opus 5.5 is brilliant. It uses fewer tokens, it's much faster and the outputs are much better. I use it every day. If you haven't tried it yet, it's worth a proper look: techcrunch.com/2026/09/22/an…

The SIA's consultation on licence-linked training closes at 11:59pm tonight. The headline proposal: an in-date first aid certificate becomes a licence condition for door supervisors, security guards and close protection operatives. Should a lapsed first aid certificate put a licence at risk? Whatever you think, say so before midnight: gov.uk/government/consultati…

I take it back, it was on CoPilot. We’re officially buggered.

Let's be real for a moment. They should probably have redacted the files before putting them in or used some sort of zero-retention system via Amazon Bedrock or something. But realistically, using AI to help crack cases seems like a fantastic use, with human review.

The SIA consultation on licence-linked qualifications closes at 11:59pm this Friday, 23 October. I fear I may have created a agent harness that (for me) is so useful I have nothing to do now but come up with ideas.
