Film Series | Schwartz Athlete Spotlight Michael Daye Jr @MichaelDayeJr Mainland High School @LevoyLori @CoachSquatty OL 6'3 335 Lbs. C/O 2028 He brings a substantial frame up front, and I like that he can put it to work beyond his starting alignment. His ability to pull and lead through the interior gives the offense size and physicality ahead of the runner. At :12, the timing of his strike makes that movement count. He meets the defender with force in space, showing the power to deliver an effective block on the move. The RPO rep at :39 highlights his get off and violent hands. He shows some bend for his size here, keeping his base underneath him without becoming top heavy through contact. That balance supports the strike and leaves him positioned to continue the engagement. At :57, I love the lower half strength he shows when challenged by a bull rush. He reanchors, checks the defender’s momentum and recovers stability under pressure. Being able to reset against that force is an important part of his protection work. The physicality carries across these assignments. He can bring contact to a defender in the run game and regain his footing when a rusher brings power to him.
