Last Sunday evening, a packed house at the Victoria Palace were raising awareness and funds for the renovation of Denville Hall (@denville_hall) where, for 100 years, theatre folk have been cared for in their latter days.
Regardless whether they consider themselves to be "Left" or "Right", the masses clearly don't want to be told the truth. That part is completely obvious. They prefer that their blindfolds stay in place and that their ears remain plugged. Captivity from the cradle to the grave...
There is no way to tell it and expect it to be truly or fully understood by the vast majority of people for most are not capable of processing it. Sadly, that is just part of the human condition. It is, in fact, what Plato's Allegory of the Cave is all about. 🍷

Vivien Leigh looks as cold as ice as Ingrid Bergman arrives late for a dinner engagement in London in 1957. Leigh was obsessive about punctuality. Ingrid, a notoriously bad time keeper, was not.

Only Isabelle Huppert could portray Elizabeth Báthory, a 16th-century Hungarian noblewoman and serial killer, with glamor and sophistication, in "The Blood Countess" (2026), who has returned to Vienna in modern times.🧛♀️🩸
Judi Dench writes that Robin Williams was "gently supportive" during her late husband's cancer battle in her forthcoming memoir:
“Michael was very ill at the time and I could see him flagging, so we said our good nights and began walking up this very steep hill. Robin Williams appeared beside us and offered to help, but Michael said he could manage,” Dench continues. “And Robin said, ‘Well, I think I’ll ride shotgun anyway’, which was such a lovely thing to say. I’ve often thought about that moment — Robin’s sensitivity and understanding, just offering to be there, gently supportive, without imposing himself.”
