Polls badly underestimated Kansas GOP Senate candidates before. In 2014, Pat Roberts was narrowly trailing; he won by 11 points. In 2020, Roger Marshall was narrowly leading; he won by 11 points. But there are plenty of reasons to think 2026 isn’t another blue mirage in Kansas. thedispatch.com/article/kans…

Brian Kemp spending one of the last days of the race campaigning for Alan Wilson next door in South Carolina, perhaps another sign Republicans are a little worried about things there. Also, apropos of nothing, South Carolina is still third on the presidential primary calendar.
NEW: Governor @BrianKempGA endorses @AGAlanWilson for Governor and joins him on Alan's Affordability Bus Tour today. “...There’s no question that a Governor Alan Wilson will mean more money in the pockets of the people of South Carolina and a brighter future for all who call the Palmetto State home!"

“If Republicans are losing ‘should have won’ races in Montana or Kansas, it could be seen as a rebuke not just of Trump but of the whole presidency that Vance has taken to calling… the ‘Trump-Vance administration.’” | Next Right by @MichaelRWarren thedispatch.com/newsletter/n…

The amount of straight-up lies documented in this story is astounding.
SCOOP: Democrats have insisted they have nothing to do with the other Dan Sullivan on Alaska's Senate ballot. But aides with the Mary Peltola campaign and DSCC were part of a monthslong secret plan to recruit him to run -- as well as other candidates. nytimes.com/2026/10/28/us/po…

This is a lie, too, unless I’m missing something. The Times story said nothing about anyone lying about this in federal court.
It has just been determined that the Democrats in Alaska illegally searched for, and recruited, a man named Dan Sullivan to run against our distinguished Republican Senator, Dan Sullivan, in order to defraud, confuse, and obfuscate the Election, thereby taking votes away from the REAL Senator, Dan Sullivan. The New York Times reports that, “Democrats have insisted they have nothing to do with the other Dan Sullivan on Alaska’s Senate ballot. But aides with the Mary Peltola campaign and DSCC were part of a monthslong secret plan to recruit him to run — as well as other candidates.” The Democrats’ false statements were made under oath in Federal Court. Therefore, they perjured themselves, and should be liable for very serious consequences. Mary Peltola should suffer the Legal and Political consequences for what she has done, A FRAUD ON THE AMERICAN PUBLIC, and Dan Sullivan should be allowed to run without either Mary Peltola or FAKE Dan Sullivan on the Ballot. New issue of Next Right @thedispatch is out. I spent a couple days on the trail watching @JDVance make his closing pitch for the 2026 midterms—and workshop his own 2028 pitch to primary voters at the same time. With reporting from MONTANA and MICHIGAN. thedispatch.com/newsletter/n…

It seems that Vance and his team are message-testing this riff on “sovereignty.”

Waiting for another @JDVance rally to begin, this time in Michigan. One week to go.

Vance talks about his son referring to Michigan as the “m-word” and says you can’t say it. Vance jokes his son needs to “chill out.”

Interesting recognition from Vance of Rogers distancing from Trump in trade. “I don’t want in Mike Rogers a servant for the administration. I want in Mike Rogers a servant for the people of Michigan.”

It’s @JDVance in Belgrade, Montana. He opens with a joke after noting Ryan Zinke complimented his blue eyes. “We're self-confident in the Trump administration. The president’s been noticing a lot about the physiques of everybody lately.”

Vance mispronounces Helena, prompting rumbling from the crowd. (“Huh-LAYNE-a”) He repeats the mispronunciation, hears more rumbling, looks confused. Then the crowd shouts out the correct pronunciation. “HELL-a-na.” Laughs it off and says he’s humble enough to admit he’s wrong.

I’m in Belgrade, Montana, where @JDVance will be the special guest at a rally for Republicans later today. There’s a competitive House race here and a potentially competitive Senate race, too.

As the crowd waits for Vance, @realDonaldTrump is here in spirit via the soundtrack.
