HOUSE DIVIDED: Rep. Haley Stevens' fiancé, a Jewish registered Democrat, says he's voting for Republican Mike Rogers over Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan — calling El-Sayed an antisemite whose rhetoric makes Jewish communities "less safe."
Stevens' fiancé, a Michigan lawyer, told The Detroit News he waited for El-Sayed to moderate after the primary, but instead watched him escalate. He pointed to El-Sayed's repeated use of the word "genocide" to describe the war in Gaza, his refusal to condemn an ad blaming Jews for grocery prices, and his ties to streamer Hasan Piker, who once said America deserved 9/11.
Stevens isn't budging, and continues to support El-Sayed, but her fiancé isn't alone — Stevens' former campaign chair also announced he's voting Rogers.
