This is one of the most flawed, incoherent arguments the NCAA has ever made. The NCAA claims that the proper protocol is to use the incorrect TV game clock rather than the correct in-stadium clock seen by the players, coaches and officials. That makes no sense whatsoever.

New: FBS oversight committee says it cannot overturn the Michigan-WMU ending. "The committee agreed that the instant replay protocols were not followed in the contest’s second-to-last play. Had the protocols been followed, the outcome of the game would have been different."

Noticed this live on the NBC clock...It was out of sync The officials said to put 9 seconds on the clock. Not 8 1/3. The NBC clock missed 2/3 of a second which caused the confusion.
