The Jalen Hurts-was-carried debate is dead. Fans and much of the media undervalued the Eagles' QB leadership & ability to keep the team together & competitive during tough times. That type of leader is not easily replaced by anyone else on the roster.

If the Eagles are not trading Saquon Barkley, then he is obviously in their long-term plans. He has made clear that his body is not where it needs to be. It would be malpractice not to protect a star player who is not healthy in a lost season.

...That sequence is fitting for the season. Eagles going for a fourth down. False start. They make a FG. Illegal formation. Then they miss the FG. Empty possession — because of a lack of detail. You can't preach mastering the things that take no talent and then have that sequence.
