For the first time in nearly 50 years, Italy is celebrating October 4 as a national holiday honoring St. Francis of Assisi, its patron saint. The holiday was restored by Parliament under Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s government and took effect in 2026.

Having not watched much @MLB over past couple years, I confess: I really had never heard of @Cam31Schlittler. But that was quite the pitching performance and overall @Yankees win. Plus, might’ve been first game I watched start-to-finish in few years. Great call by @jasonbenetti.
I fully expected to post tonight about @MLB and networks not caring about the fans—while airing pablum and slop in prime time instead of playoffs. To my great surprise, @NBCSports has made the right call in airing @RedSox-@Yankees. Also good to see @realBobCostas back in the mix.
