Bit tired now - a garage-find - our old vehicle logos from our @BASICS_HQ scheme across in Clyde…in the days before @BASICSScotland - and a pic from one of our RRV sessions. @lesyoung01 remember this?

The pictures generated are very pretty. But you can also 'pulse' the bubbles and measure reperfusion

Decreased renal cortical perfusion, independent of changes in renal blood flow and sublingual microcirculatory impairment, is associated with the severity of acute kidney injury in patients with septic shock

Prof Duranteau now talks about contrast-enhanced ultrasound. Something that @MilitaryICM and his team have been working with... #LIVES2022. A link to their recent paper.

Glenn is an absolute star in the academic ICM world, very exciting to be setting up a study with him at the moment. This should be a great interview esicm-tv.org/en/live/30-minu…

As I sit and look over the documents for my first REC review - it's hard to believe that I'm taking this on at this stage of my career. But it's very exciting working with @MilitaryICM on this.

Many congratulations to my friend and colleague Colonel Nigel Tai on his appointment to Chair at Barts and the London School of Medicine & Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London. Congratulations Professor Tai!
I am a Consultant Intensivist. I and almost every other consultant @KingsCritCare have been vaccinated. The vast majority of COVID patients on our ICUs since summer 2021 have been unvaccinated. The vast majority of ICM specialists fully support the vaccination program.
I still have a strong memory of being the first person up the gangplank of HMS Endurance and running into my dads arms after he came back from the Falklands conflict in 1982. Having now been there with my own sons this really resonates.

Replying to @keatingteam1 @kimberleyseddon
Came here to recommend @MilitaryICM's "Trauma and Combat Critical Care in Clincal Practice" too 😊
(Helpfully very well referenced too for further reading!!!)
