I really hope women never stop talking about their health experiences, from reproductive health and pregnancy to fibroids and ovarian cysts etc. There’s still so much we don’t know, and too many women are left navigating these experiences in silence and confusion.
Eyin o kin ni good news ni ?
🇨🇦 If you use fake bank statements and employment references, you can still be deported back to Nigeria from Canada.
About three years ago, a Nigerian man travelled to Canada to study for a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD). He used fake bank statements through an agent.
Last year, he tried to bring his wife and children to Canada on visitor visas. The same agent used a fake employment reference from Access Bank and fake Access Bank statements as well.
The husband also sent an invitation letter as part of the visa application process.
The visas were granted to his wife and children. They set out to travel with EgyptAir last year and had a stopover in Cairo.
During the stopover, an immigration officer reportedly asked the woman where she worked, and she said Access Bank.
The officer then asked her to provide her leave approval letter and Access Bank staff ID card. Unfortunately, she couldn’t provide either document because the employment details were fake.
That was how she and the children were sent back to Nigeria, and her five-year Canadian visitor visa was reportedly cancelled last year.
But the story didn’t end there.

The rubbish thing Nigerian women do in taking underage children as maids should be stopped. I don't care if they are treating or maltreating them.
Stop it!!
When I tell people that nothing motivates me, they think I’m lying.
But honestly, I don’t experience motivation the way people seem to describe it.
For me, inspiration comes in bursts.
One day, I wake up with a thousand ideas, plans and things I want to do. I feel excited about the possibilities. I can see the vision so clearly, and I want to get started on everything at once.
Then, just as quickly as it came, the feeling disappears.
And I wait for the next burst.
It’s a cycle I’ve come to recognise about myself. I can be incredibly inspired one moment and completely indifferent the next. The ideas are there, the possibilities are there, but the internal drive to pursue them doesn’t always stay.
What has helped me more than anything is stability and structure.
Having routines, commitments and things I have to show up for, regardless of how I feel, has taught me that I cannot build my life around waiting to feel inspired.
I need systems that work even when the excitement is gone.
I’m learning that consistency doesn’t always look like being driven, ambitious or hungry for more. Sometimes, it looks like doing what needs to be done without the emotional high that made you want to do it in the first place.
I still love those bursts of inspiration. They are exciting, and they remind me of all the things I could do.
Out of everything in this life, I don’t have one successful matchmaking story.
Chai, my people no dey last with each other.
+ You don’t have to win every interaction to be respected.
Sometimes leadership is simple listening, taking what’s useful, making a decision and moving forward.
One thing I’m learning as I move into more senior leadership roles is that people will challenge your decisions, sometimes publicly and sometimes without much tact.
That doesn’t mean you should tolerate disrespect. It means learning to distinguish between a legitimate challenge and poor treatment, without automatically taking either as a judgment of your competence.

As a chronic complainer, I try to hold my mouth sometimes because if I start, there’s literally nothing I won’t complain about.
