I totally believe in rebrands that turn you 180 degrees from something abominable to someone people actually pay attention to.
How @C_NyaKundiH went from being the King of Single Mother Haters to becoming a credible news outlet needs to be studied in-depth in Comms classes π

Take this to the bank. The 2027 Presidential race will be exactly like the 1997 election. There will be nothing like opposition unity. The following will all be on the ballot. With 318 days left, nothing will change. Hii imeenda.

Yesterday, I watched William Ruto ask Uhuru Kenyatta to stop sabotaging his government.
I sat with that for a minute.
He has the presidency. The police. The budget. The whole machinery of government.
And his explanation for why things are this bad is a man who left office?
Can he tell us;
What job does Uhuru hold in your government?
Is he the one sending police after young people?
Was he in command when protesters were shot in 2024?
Is he the one making life more expensive every month?
A president who has delivered doesnβt need a ghost to fight. He puts the record on the table and defends it.
The fact that his explanations are always pointing backward, means there's a problem with what is happening in the present.
We aren't fools.

Ruto has access to all national intelligence. So he knows full well that Uhuru isn't funding Linda Mwananchi (there is really nothing to fund at this stage even).
The bitter attacks on Uhuru must therefore mean that the 4th President has Ruto cornered somewhere else. And it must be somewhere so delicate that escaping is impossible.
I can speculate that it is in the security sector.
Ruto should face whatever Uhuru has on him and stop hiding behind Linda Mwananchi. Don't be a Neymar, who gets kicked on the foot, but falls down hysterically clutching the neck!
When you get transferred from being the Editor-in-Chief of a regional newsroom to being the Editor-in-Chief of a smaller, less consequential newsroom, that is not a promotion.
Do with this information as yβall will.
When your key job as a journalist becomes to babysit and tame a dictator⦠walai.
This will not end well. π

Seriously though, why would a president we elected, being the hospitable Kenyans we are, make xenophobic pronouncementsβ¦ unless he rigged the vote and therefore doesnβt represent the majority of Kenyans? π

FlexPay founders, the company behind Kenyaβs βsave now, buy laterβ fintech FlexPay, were arrested by DCI detectives over the alleged theft of Sh31.2 million belonging to a major retail chain.
The DCI says the suspects allegedly collected payments from customers on behalf of the retailer but failed to remit the money
We really need to fix street lighting in Nairobi asap. A few minutes ago, I found myself drifting from the overtaking lane into the left lane⦠because I was following lane lines while being blinded by oncoming full-beam lights, and Langata Road is quite tricky with lines.
Tjo, this Uganda election season is turning out to be worse than Tanzaniaβs. Bobi Wine is projected to win - kwa ground. However Mtandao, which is now shut down, says M7 is the leading horse in this race. Meanwhile, in TZ, no one understands how Mama BilaSuluhu won.

Kenyan lawyer Francis Wanjiku, a consumer rights and competition law advocate, has requested that the National Assembly's Finance and Privatisation committees scrutinise the sale of 15% of Kenya's shares in Safaricom, with a view to determining the transparency of the valuation process.
This follows national outcry over the sale process, with Standard Investment Bank being the latest party to state the shares were undervalued by 15.4%.
The National Assembly is currently on recess and will resume on February 10, 2026, while committee sittings will resume on January 26, 2026, at which point a way forward will be determined. WeeTracker will keep you updated as the situation unfolds.
As a Kenyan, this statement is worrying when you put it in the context of the fight for Kenyaβs rightfully owned Indian Ocean stretch.
Ilhan has literally called us an βexternal threatβ & threatened to use US resources to fight us. Maβam, this is NOT the way to go.
