Problem is that airlines depend on cheap mass transport of densely packed passengers, between countries/continents. They already facilitated the rapid spread of Covid-19. The way they work cannot do anything other than continue to risk further Covid spread, preventing eradication

I know that ppl mean well, and I hope Boris Johnson recovers ASAP, but I don't like the "he is a fighter" line. The thousands of people that have died from this virus and others have also been "fighters." They didn't die because of any lack of "fight" or desire to beat it.
