On Episode 9 of Understanding Mobilize Recovery, Robyn Rohde shares how her approach to the work evolved. Watch the full episode: youtu.be/x5HaByEhhys She started out focused on outcomes, tasks, and organizing groups to get things done. But through Mobilize Recovery and grassroots organizing, she learned that change is fundamentally relational, and it has to start with people. Without shared values, alignment, and trust, you can’t sustain the hard work of advocacy. Robyn is a tenured professor at the College of Southern Nevada, where she serves as Interim Lead for AI Innovation and Stewardship, a Principal Partner at Thornbird Consulting, and owner of Integrative Wellness Clinic of Nevada – Henderson. Her guiding belief: lasting change happens when the people most affected by a problem have the relationships, resources, and power to help create the solutions. On this episode of Understanding Mobilize Recovery, Chekesha talks about what it takes to step forward and share your story. She's a national addiction and mental health advocate, TEDx speaker, Philadelphia Inquirer writer, and founder of the KAYOS TO CLARITY Foundation. Watch the full episode: youtu.be/pNEE9Tp6Lus?si=eFZG… After a 10-year addiction to prescription opioids, Chekesha entered recovery on August 8, 2010. Now 16 years in recovery, she has dedicated her work to breaking the silence around addiction and mental health and bringing prevention conversations to young people and families. Her advice if you're wondering whether to tell your story or get involved: "Don't wait to share your story. Go out, connect with people that are advocates, do interviews, share your story, and don't wait." Thousands of people may come together through Mobilize Recovery, and there may be just one person who connects with you and your story. Her message is simple: Healing happens in community. 📺 More from Chekesha: youtu.be/FxOP6SLSFW0?is=h49q… 📰 Chekesha on PHL17: phl17.com/weekend-philler/ch… 🤝 Follow KAYOS TO CLARITY: facebook.com/share/1PdU6NU5m… #OperationUnderstanding #MobilizeRecovery

NEW EPISODE 🎙️ Understanding Mobilize Recovery: Conversations with Jaclyn Brown — Episode 7 with Heather Ogden. recovery2026.org/understandi… "I've never met an advocate who didn't mention something about loss." Heather has spent her career building the peer movement, from peer-led recovery centers to emergency room peer programs. In this conversation, she names what too many of us carry: grief we've never been given the space to feel. Her challenge to the recovery community: stop fighting each other and remember the goal we all share. We want people to live, and to live lives they want to live. #OperationUnderstanding #MobilizeRecovery
