A woman says she wants a traditional man. He should pay the bills. Plan the dates. Protect her. Lead the relationship. But the moment he expects traditional treatment in return, he's called controlling. Let's talk about that. 🧵 1. SHE WANTS HIM TO PAY. First date? His bill. Rent? His responsibility. Vacations? But when he disagrees with her, he's trying to control her. So does she want leadership or agreement? 3. SHE WANTS PROTECTION. He should defend her. Stand up for her. Make her feel safe. But his concerns about certain situations are automatically dismissed as insecurity. Protection doesn't mean ownership. But neither does partnership mean ignoring each other's concerns. 4. SHE WANTS A PROVIDER. His income matters. His ambition matters. His financial future matters. Fair enough. But why is asking about her contribution considered offensive? 5. HERE'S WHAT MEN GET WRONG TOO. Some men want a traditional wife. Someone who cooks, cleans and handles the home. But they still expect her to work full-time and split every bill. That's not traditional. That's expecting two roles from one person. 6. THE REAL ARGUMENT Everybody wants the benefits. Fewer people want the responsibilities. Some men want submission without leadership. Some women want provision without partnership. Neither arrangement works without mutual agreement. NOW ANSWER THIS: Can a woman demand a traditional provider while refusing traditional expectations herself? And can a man demand a traditional wife while insisting on splitting everything 50/50?
