Zimbabwe has maintained uninterrupted fuel supplies, with daily consumption of 6.5 million litres and stocks covering three months. Hon. J. G. Moyo, the Minister of Energy and Power Development responding to the committee report, also spoke to fuel reliability, pipeline apacity is being upgraded to 5 billion litres annually by 2027, while the 2,000-tonne Ruwa LPG depot strengthens supply. “..Mr Speaker Sir , I always say peace and tranquillity is like oxygen..” - Minister Kazembe Kazembe The ZRP continues to maintain peace and tranquility in the country thereby providing a peaceful environment which enables sustainable socio-economic development. Minister Kazembe spoke on crime management and the statistics stating a decrease of 2.4% was noted during the period January to August 2026 where 246 205 cases were recorded compared to 252 324 reported in the same period of the previous year. Similarly, crimes of concern (armed robbery, rape, murder) decreased by 5%, 103 749 (year 2025), 98 563 (vear 2026). In a bid to curb the surge in drug and substance abuse, the ZRP destroyed a total of 232 bases and 12188 arrests were made in connection with drug and substance abuse related offenses. Turning to civil registration exercise and other achievements of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage, Hon.. K. Kazembe said The Department conducted twenty seven (27) targeted mobile registration exercises selected districts namely Mbire, Gokwe North, Mutasa, Buhera, Mudzi , Chipings, Marange, Zvimba, Matobo, Ganda, Binga, Rushinga, Wedza, Hurungwe, Budiriro, Umzingwane , Mangue, Beitbridge, Nkani and Mutare with support from UNICEF, World Vision, SOS, Zimbabwe Gender Commission. As a result of these outreach programmes, a total of 14 057 births certificates 790 national IDs were issued.
