Sanjib joined us as President earlier this year and played a key role in delivering Stablecon US in Washington, DC.
Now he’ll lead the team as we build on the US show and look ahead to Stablecon EMEA in Lisbon next April, alongside our growing calendar of events around the world.
Please join us in congratulating Sanjib! 👏
“Crypto is global.”
But can a product built for a global audience still feel personal in every market?
Shan Aggarwal of Coinbase joins Sanjib Kalita on Money Code to discuss why global expansion requires local design and localization.
What matters more: global consistency or local familiarity?

Machines won’t pay like humans. So why would we expect them to use payment systems built for us?
AI agents could make thousands of transactions a day, paying per use in ways traditional payment infrastructure was not designed to support.
On the latest Money Code, Sanjib Kalita sits down with @ShanAggarwal, Chief Business Officer and Head of Investor Relations at @coinbase, to explore why stablecoins could become the natural payment rail for agentic commerce.

“We have a real customer case that’s sending almost $200K. The money disappeared for 14 days (waiting on a refund through traditional channels). The customer didn’t receive the money.”
@owltingdarren, Founder and CEO of @Owlting, joins @DanteReminick on Stable Pulse: What’s Next Beat to unpack why failed cross-border payments can be so difficult to trace through correspondent banking.
Stablecoin settlement changes the operating model when a payment fails. OwlPay uses that settlement layer as part of the infrastructure connecting businesses across markets.
Knowing where funds stopped can be as important as how quickly they moved. A clearer settlement record means faster resolution instead of days spent tracing transactions across intermediaries.

Washington, DC, gave us a clear view of where the stablecoin market is moving.
On stage, the industry tackled regulation, institutional adoption, settlement, agentic payments and onchain credit. And, eight startups competed for a $200,000 investment.
Stable Connect brought attendees together for focused one-to-one meetings. Pickleball added a little friendly competition, while a packed Stablecoin Week kept the conversations going after the agenda ended.
That mix matters. Markets move through policy and products, but they move faster when the right people meet.
The question now is what this momentum means for Europe.
Euro-denominated stablecoins, institutional adoption, regulation, treasury and cross-border money movement will all help determine Europe’s role as the market develops.
From Washington, DC, to Lisbon, Stablecon keeps the conversation moving forward.

“Why not emulate the experience on WhatsApp? That human experience, but enabling the convenience of digital payment.”
@manueljgodoym joins @chuk_xyz and @rajparekh on Money Code to explain how @Felixpago found product-market fit after realizing WhatsApp was already part of how customers completed a remittance.
By moving the transaction into the same WhatsApp flow users already used, Felix turned a familiar remittance handoff into the product itself.

Latin America has become one of stablecoins’ strongest markets. So why haven’t local-currency stablecoins broken through?
On the latest episode of Stable Pulse Policy Beat, Andrew Van Aken @ElBarto_Crypto of @artemis joins Justin Friedman, Head of Policy at @thestablecon, and Sanjib Kalita, President of Stablecon, to discuss what’s holding local stablecoin issuance back across Latin America.
“Once that policy comes into place, I think you’re gonna see some real interest in local issuance in Latin American currencies.”
Justin points to the GENIUS Act as a U.S. example of how clearer rules around reserves, audits and redemption can build confidence in stablecoins.
Clearer rules could unlock more local-currency stablecoin issuance across Latin America, giving businesses a way to bring payments and settlement onchain while keeping flows denominated in domestic currency.
