Tired of all the “new year new me” posts but I’m no better. Ladies and gentlemen, your new favorite legends car driver.
Been a while since I’ve watched a Trucks race out at dinner… does anyone else not freak out and think a caution is out when the yellow RAM banner pops up?
Nothing but respect for @BayleyCurrey . Been grinding for so long, from RWR/Harmon to getting shots like these. Awesome to see it working out for him and seeing both sides of getting a car to the track.
AI this, VR glasses…. This is actually probably one of the most insane pieces of tech coming out

We fumbled the bag so hard that Lightning got turned into a pace car 🤦🏽♂️

does the ebook that you sell for $10 tell you how to hold your line when being lapped?
Replying to @BoziTatarevic
Bozi, I have had a lot of respect for you and your technical knowledge, and have to believe that you don't genuinely believe ARCA should be kneecapped down to 15 cars based on qualifying times alone. You are a smarter and better-versed person than this.
For one thing, many teams don't bother with a qualifying setup in ARCA, because the time to do that takes away time for either additional practice time for the race trim, or can't use one of their teammates to try those adjustments because they simply don't have 3-5 car teams like higher series, or the bigger budget ARCA teams, do.
For another, this is a series where you have a landscaper and his 60 year old dad who's had multiple open heart surgeries building a car in their garage versus Joe Gibbs Racing and a $5,000,000+ budget for one car, or teams with 5+ cars each week with TRD backing. Yes, there's a massive gap in speed, because there's an equally large gap in budget.
ARCA also has 3 different engine packages, each with varying amounts of horsepower and wildly different torque curves. An open motor can cost $5-10,000, while a Yates is $30,000+ and an Ilmor is $80,000+. Those are all legal in the rulebook, and what you run depends entirely on your budget. Plus, you can't run a Yates anywhere over a mile except for road courses, so if you want to run any intermediate/superspeedway, which makes up over 1/3 of the schedule, you are either dropping nearly $100,000 for ONE motor that you pray to God doesn't blow up, or spend $10,000 and run 5+ seconds off.
Every backmarker wishes they had the budget to go as fast as the 18, 20, 70, 28, etc. every week. If our cars were capable of running at those speeds, it would be a hell of a lot closer than the 2-3 seconds you see per lap. However, money buys speed, and you know this with your experience and technical knowledge in this sport.
I don't know if it was a slow day at the office or just fishing to measure engagement when you take potshots at guys like Brad who bust their ass working on their cars after their 9-5 every day, then hauling a thousand miles just so they have the chance to be on track and do what they love, but I really do believe you are a lot smarter than this.
Sure, let's get rid of every car in ARCA that doesn't have a chance to win at a given track, and tell them we don't want them back. I'm sure we'll sell just as many tickets, and have just as many viewers and fans, when only 6 cars from JGR, Nitro, and Pinnacle show up each week. Surely you, and many others, will be there each week and huge fans of it, right?
genuinely insane that we're just slapping "AI" on top of things we don't need to change
i would actually rather have mail by carrier pigeon at this point. can't even do a proper google search anymore with out page 1 being half AI summaries of reddit posts and the other half ads
It has been a wild year to actually get behind the wheel. What’s more impressive is just how dang good these kids are in the @USLegendCars garage. I am getting my butt whooped!!
