Dr. Abel Damina Blasts Pastor Korede Komaiya Over His Comment About Poor Pastors
Pastor Korede Komaiya reportedly said during a sermon, “I will never follow a poor pastor. Nothing will make me follow a poor pastor.”
Reacting to the statement, Dr. Abel Damina criticised Komaiya, describing him as a promoter of greed, avarice, materialism, and discontentment.
Dr. Damina cited 1 Timothy 6:7, which says that we brought nothing into this world and can take nothing out of it. He argued that Komaiya's statement reflected a struggle with poverty, adding that a truly wealthy person would not speak that way.
Dr. Damina also criticised Komaiya for collecting money from people he described as poor while boasting about his wealth. He further remarked that if Komaiya met Bill Gates, he would use his suit to clean Gates' shoes.
Addressing the biblical arguments, Dr. Damina accused Komaiya of misinterpreting Proverbs 18:1 and referred to him as a lying pastor. He also cited Revelation 3:17–18, arguing that the passage warns against measuring spiritual standing by material wealth.
Dr. Damina went further, saying that if Komaiya were his spiritual son, he would take him home and beat him for bringing disgrace to the Christian community.
He also questioned the impact of such statements on pastors serving poor communities, arguing that the message could discourage ministers in rural areas who dedicate their lives to preaching to people living in poverty.

The Best Wife and Husband You Can Ever Marry Are Those With Ogbanje; Ogbanje Are Destiny Helpers— Prophet George Rittabi
Prophet George Rittabi has described people associated with Ogbanje as destiny helpers with supernatural abilities, warning that mistreating them could bring problems into a person’s life.
Speaking about their perceived spiritual significance, the prophet said, “The best wife and the best husband you can ever marry is a man with Ogbanje, a woman with Ogbanje. Once you provoke an Ogbanje, he or she will frustrate your destiny. Ogbanje are destiny helpers. God created them in different forms.”
He compared their alleged extraordinary abilities to those of Samson in the Bible, citing his strength and victories over his enemies.
“Do you know that Samson is an Ogbanje? Samson is Ogbanje. He is a Nazarene, with dada. He was given instruction by his mother what to eat and what not to eat. He has a strange power,” Rittabi said.
He further explained that people with such abilities were often misunderstood because of ignorance, adding that everyone had unique gifts and strengths.
“There are people you see them, they do what others cannot do. They have extraordinary power. Their matrix, their own matrix is different. We start calling them names because of ignorance,” he added.
The prophet also linked recurring business challenges to the possibility of offending one’s spiritual helper, urging people to understand the spiritual significance of Ogbanje.
“If you start having regular repeated tragedy in your business every single time, you are having issue, your spirit is no longer with you. Every month you are having challenges in your business, your spirit is not with you. Peradventure, you have offended that your spirit,” he said.
