My entry into NFTs was driven entirely by design. I was following @MotionMarkus long before the 2021 boom (s/o to the good old Dribbble days), so Invisible Friends was what ultimately pulled me in. The 2021-22 wave was special because real artist & designers ran the show. Now? There’s only a handful left, and frankly, web2 art & design is 10,000x better than the current web3 stuff. We’re wallowing in our own art slop. I want to see this change, and it starts by bringing real web2 design talent back into the ecosystem imo. But we have to make it attractive for them first. We need a culture where artists can just be artists, not called a rugger for missing a gm post, or a grifter for wanting to get paid to earn a living. Fix this. 🤝
