The Ben Sawyer Bridge will open for boat traffic at 10am. Vehicle traffic over the bridge will be restricted for up to 30 minutes during this time.

There is signage along Ben Sawyer Blvd. alerting the drivers to the temporary weight restrictions on the Ben Sawyer Bridge. @SCDOTpress says, school buses and emergency vehicles are not impacted by the restrictions.

Heavy commercial trucks are currently restricted. This does not impact emergency response vehicles or school buses. Further evaluation and repairs will be necessary to facilitate continuous openings for marine traffic. We will continue to provide updates as they are available.
