🩸🌕 The Halloween Story — “The Woman Who Dragged the Night” The moon rose red over the ruined forest, turning the mist the color of old blood. She walked alone. Two messy buns whipped in the cold October wind, black ribbons trailing behind her. A black wolf padded silently at her side, its amber eyes watching the darkness. But she wasn’t carrying her weapon. She was dragging it. The enormous battle axe scraped across the stone road behind her— SCRAAAAAPE… Sparks flew from its edge. SCRAAAAAPE… The wolf suddenly stopped. She stopped too. From somewhere deep within the trees came the sound of children laughing. Then whispers. “She’s coming…” “The Axe Witch is coming…” She tightened her grip on the leather-wrapped handle. The crow perched upon her shoulder suddenly spread its wings and opened its beak, letting out a harsh, piercing cry. CAW! CAW! The forest went completely silent. She looked toward the enormous red moon. “Halloween has begun.” Behind her, hundreds of pumpkins slowly flickered to life. One by one. Until the entire road glowed orange. She began walking again. SCRAAAAAPE… The axe followed. The wolf followed her. And somewhere in the darkness… something much bigger began following them both. 🎃🩸 To be continued… 🐺🌕
