I am begging any insanely wealthy person not named Jones to buy the @dallascowboys. Surely thereโs a member of the Saudi royal family who actually cares about winning football games.
When I put the flag out this morning like I always do on this day, my 8 year old asked why. As I told him the story I was struck by the power of the day and its impact on time. For me, it still feels viscerally real, like it just happened. For him, itโs history. #NeverForget

For those not acquainted with foster care, there are troubling and largely hidden arrangements where parents can lose their children without the protections and oversight that accompany a formal foster care case.
Thank you to @LaurenMPeace and @teghan_simonton of @TB_Times for exposing the plight of families caught in the middle and to UFA members @MrACBrown and @JoshGuptaKagan for helping to inform this important story. tampabay.com/investigations/โฆ

Texas already passed SB 24 last session requiring students to learn the horrors of communist regimes. Thanks to @DonnaCampbellTX
Florida is just catching up. ๐บ๐ธ
๐จ FLORIDA IS DOING WHAT THE REST OF AMERICA WONโTย
Starting this semester, every public school student in Florida is REQUIRED by law to learn the real history of communism.
Soviet Union. Maoโs China. North Korea. Castroโs Cuba.
Not the sanitized, โitโs never been triedโ version. The actual body count version.
DeSantis signed the anti-communist education bill in 2024 for a reason. Socialism is on the march in American politics, and Florida decided kids should know where that road ends.
DSA just praised Fidel Castro online last week. DeSantis didnโt flinch: Florida students know better.
Even the Democratic Socialist running for Senate is suddenly trying to pretend the label doesnโt mean anything.
Meanwhile, kids whose families actually fled these regimes are sitting in class understanding exactly whatโs at stake:
Freedom isnโt the default. Itโs the exception.
Florida is teaching the truth. The rest of the country is still pretending the 100 million dead were just a โflawed implementation.โ
America First starts in the classroom.

Texans made it clear that they are rightfully concerned about the implementation of the 765-kV lines. @TPPF supports @LtGovTX and @DrSchwertner calls to ensure the Legislature has a chance to provide clear direction on how best to address this issue.
Over the last several years, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) and the Public Utility Commission (PUC) have studied the current and future power needs of Texas. Huge (new to Texas) 765-kV transmission lines to increase power around the state are a part of their plan.ย
ย
Unfortunately, neither the PUC nor ERCOT haveย followed through with a plan that is supported by the vast majority of Texas landowners. The PUC and ERCOT both acknowledged as much during an over 15- hour Senate Business and Commerce Committee hearing on Wednesday.ย
ย
Hour after hour, witness after witness testified they did not have adequate notice and have no idea where the lines are going because of constant route changes. They also accused ERCOT, the PUC, and the transmission companies of rushing through the process that could significantly affect the use of their land. Itโs clear the overwhelming number of witnesses in rural Texas are not supportive of the current process. They want it paused. Some want it stopped entirely.ย
ย
Everyone agrees Texas needs the transmission necessary to meet the growing needs of the state. However, support for ERCOTโs 765-kV transmission plan should not come at the expense of private property rights.
ย
I agree with Chairman Schwertner in calling on the PUC to deny the pending applications for 765-kV transmission lines, and not consider re-applications, until the transmission companies can address the serious concerns raised by landowners at Wednesdayโs hearing.ย
ย
The testimony made it abundantly clear the current process being utilized by the PUC for proposing and approving transmission lines is broken and must be reformed.
If these lines are going to be built, which many believe must be built, then the PUCโs transmission approval process must not only prioritize strengthening the grid, but also protect Texas landowners and communities.
During the 90th Legislative Session beginning in January 2027, the Texas Senate will prioritize addressing this issue. Below is a statement released today by Senate Business and Commerce Committee Chairman Charles Schwerterner, who oversees this issue.

#Belgium coach Rudi Garcia slams FIFA over Balogun scandal, says itโs like an April Foolโs Day joke and that they are not just defending their own position but โdefending football, its ethics and historyโ
"I didn't know that July 5 was equal to April 1 at FIFA.
"I think itโs necessary to refer to our statement. A lot of what I feel is there.
"Weโre not defending the national team or the federation, we are defending football,ย its ethics and history.
"Itโs the first time in World Cup history that such a decision has been taken"
FIFA just learned what happens when a bunch of SEC fans get into soccer.
