Apropos of everything; I have strong feelings about how sponsorship levels are described. Too many maintainers are asking for people to 'buy a coffee' or 'show you're a fan'. This is folksy nonsense that suggests that individuals are those who should be sponsoring open source.

It's a two-hander with their pals in the press isn't it? Stage 1 intense media focus while we pretend to focus outward, then in stage 2 when we regain control, totally lose interest in internal party machinations so we can give the left a kicking

Yep and building consensus= doing what they want with no compromise
This is a classic Labour right tactic - preaching about the need to "focus outward" while waging internal factional warfare. The "why are you hitting yourself?" approach to party unity nitter.cf/AdrianRamsay/status/21…

Apparently, the rule now is that if you oppose our country assisting in the mass murder of children and babies, you don’t deserve political representation.

If you believe this, then I have a broken bridge to sell you. The photo of @andyburnham with the mayor @westofenglandCA who has just rejected increased public accountability. This is the first we have heard of £12m Media Action Place since March... bristolpost.co.uk/news/news-…

This is a ridiculous way of doing things considering it's not like PAYE work where you have a nice predictable amount coming in every month. All it will take is a customer paying late to get you in a mess
Self employed to face new cash flow burdens as Chancellor plans to take their tax in advance every month bit.ly/4yMr6hn so much for cutting unnecessary form filling!

Reminds me of this banger.
Aside from the fact it rots people's brains, honestly True Crime is really just quite unethical conceptually. Like I used to watch it and at a certain point I just sat down and went. Why am I listening to the worst things that can happen to a person being recounted?

I joined @TheGreenParty in 2008 when we had 7,565 members. Greens have always been characterised by unapologetic, radical, bold policies and strategy It’s why I joined, why I stood as a candidate, why I co-authored the drugs policy, why I voted for Zack and why I support ZiR.

I'm told a more famous golf pro Laurie Canter has something to do with it.
Let's hope so. A one-man band, the firm was formed just a few months ago by the pro at Castle Combe Golf Club.

The party really needs a rule that anyone grandstanding and going against the party line in the press gets booted out of the party, only reason to be doing that shit in the press is to wreck. Will lead to accusations of Stalinism but it's a small price to pay to get rid of them

Codes of Conduct are hard: “a politician told us ahead of time what he is going to say on television in a few days” is considered a ‘banger of a scoop’
This is nothing personal, but it says a lot about conventional political journalism that a story which amounts to “a politician told us ahead of time what he is going to say on television in a few days” is considered a ‘banger of a scoop’
