I’m just watching Question Time and the lunatic @ZiaYusufUK got a big round of applause when he said we had to scrap the lunacy of Net zero. He continues to lie that it’s net zero policies that make our energy ao expensive, when in fact it’s because we’re tied to the wholesale price of gas. Unfortunately, the public are part of the problem. They’re too stupid to protect their own children from a terrifying future.

We are in an unbelievably dire situation with almost no one understanding how serious it is because of the $1 billion a year spent by the oil industry to confuse the public - and it’s worked. Most journalists don’t understand. Most politicians don’t understand. They seem to listen to each other rather than to scientists. But science is science, facts are facts. So very sad to read that Sir Patrick Stewart has died. He was 86. What a wonderful actor and lovely man. Obviously most well know for his Shakespearean work and for his role in Star Trek, his performance in Jeffery back in the 90s is genuinely brilliant and hilarious and was a lovely act of allyship to gay people back then. One of the funniest on screen turns ever. Bless his heart. Condolences to his family and friends. 😢
