If the Yanks mostly bring back the same squad next year they very well could miss the playoffs entirely. With the way Cashman & Boone are acting and sounding that possibility is looming larger by the day.

Broken clubhouse is the operative phrase & it’s not broken up about losing it’s just been plain old broken since Boone took over for Girardi. They miraculously made it to a World Series a couple of years ago with Soto hunting the biggest FA contract of all time but that’s been it

“They fall into bad habits...I don't think it's a talent issue.”

It is a talent issue and a bad habit issue because it’s a GM & Manager issue & apparently owner as well. Next question. It’s not rocket science folks.
I’ve been seeing some recent posts about the mission statement. Catch up people. Some of us have been on to Cashman & Co. for years.

Understood. I lived through the championship dynasty years of the 90s so that to me is swimmingly. It should be that way for Michael Kay and the entire organization too but like I said, times have definitely changed.

uh, compared to being under .500 this late for the first time in my lifetime, things have going quite swimmingly.

michael kay became so much of a shill that peter rosenberg, who knows almost no baseball, and don lagreca, who hates the yankees, have had to stand up to him on his radio show.

He told it how it was years ago. However, he along with the entire organization slowly but surely lowered the expectation levels until eventually there aren’t any more levels to go down.

They haven’t been going swimmingly. The mission statement went from win a ring or bust to let’s just make the playoffs. MK wasn’t used to that and he freaked out on some Yankee teams when they slumped but he knows better than us that winning it all is no longer the ultimate goal

Max Fried on the Yankees' elimination:
"I don't think there's enough words to sum it up. Just a lot of disappointment. It's not the way we wanted to end, not what we were expecting. It just really sucks"

Well, I was expecting it sitting on my couch hundreds of miles away so open your eyes and ears.
It’s a great day to be a Cashman & Boone truther. The only stat that matters now is 17 years and counting with no end in sight with them in charge of the operations.

The puppet was able to navigate the Yanks to a World Series when given the proper firepower and any real strategy was removed from the equation. It isn’t hard to pencil Judge & Soto into a lineup everyday.
