I'm done with @AmericanAir. 5 AM: Geneva airport evacuated, everyone outside in the cold for almost an hour. Almost 6 AM: I go to check in for my flight but I can't. They tell me to call the customer support number because AA has no staff at that airport. I'm on the phone for 27 minutes. The agent thinks that maybe an upgrade I requested didn't go through, so he was going to downgrade me and see if that will fix it. Gate agent is straight up telling the guy on the phone that isn't the problem - something about not being checked in on my flight into Geneva a week ago and "coupon sequence used out of order", but the phone agent *swears* that's not the problem. It's now 6:30 and he says it should be good to go. Desk agent says it's not good to go, and we call back. Another lady answers, and 34 minutes later her investigation finds that I was not properly checked in on that previous fight, so they changed the record to show I was, and that fixes the problem. But good to know if I had decided to just take a train from Madrid to Geneva, I wouldn't be able to fly home. It's now 7:20 am. My flight leaves at 7 40 am. The flight agent calls the gate to make sure there is time for me to get to the gate. They bump me off the flight. She calls the boss' boss and they let me sprint my ass to the gate and I get there 5 minutes before takeoff time. I start the chat with customer service while I'm on the plane to Zurich asking if they can restore the upgrade to my next flight since I already paid for it and that was never the problem anyway. Chat agent is like, no, we need a banking statement. I have to email that to them. So I did. Land in Zurich to catch the connecting NINE HOUR flight to Philly that I paid $372 to upgrade, and the gate agent tells me it shows the upgrade went through, but it was somehow canceled that morning. I explain what happened. THE SEAT I UPGRADED TO IS STILL AVAILABLE. But they say they can't do the upgrade in their system. I'm pissed because with my back issues it's extremely, actively painful to sit like that for nine hours, and that's a LOT of money to upgrade to the bigger seats, but it's not their fault so what can I do? I get on the plane, and email all the documentation to American and get a reply saying that BECAUSE I RECIEVED THE UPGRADE THEY COULD NOT REFUND ME. I literally email back "I'm on your plane right now in 24A. NEAR THE BACK OF THE F'ING PLANE." I decide I'm just going to report it as fraud because that's a lot of money they're stealing, and never fly American again. Then I find out they also failed to include the vegetarian meal I requested WEEKS IN ADVANCE, so I don't get to eat, either. When I get to Philadelphia, I find out THEY'VE LOST MY BAG, TOO. My final flight home is in 30 minutes, so I just have to take that flight and go to baggage customer service when I arrive. No resolution on that yet. I never take my personal grievances with company's like this public but WTF, AMERICAN????

Kinda feel like Amazon is misusing the “available for delivery by tomorrow” deal. Everytime I order something for tomorrow, it’s not here for tomorrow. They “notify” me that the item is shipping late instead. I am entirely convinced it’s a scam.

Breadth Update: Second up day, and we are seeing more broadening with the S&P Tech (BPINFO) higher by +21.88% and back back above 50, SPX/NDX/COMPQ all climbing towards 50%. INDU was the lone pullback (healthy rotation), NAAD still positive but cooling (+647). McClellan oscillator back to 0, so the summation decline has stalled. A turn attempt is in process.

My wife and I left Paris this morning, just before riots were set to begin across the country. The original plan was to get an uber to the airport later in the day, and enjoy the last morning in the city before flying home. We were warned by multiple people to call an early uber, because riots would make it impossible to get to the airport. We weren’t sure what to expect, as France is always “protesting” or rioting — but I’m not sure we expected what we’re seeing right now. The most jarring thing about it is that all the normal French people know. Every normal citizen is aware that their city will burn, and they brush it off. Their government obviously knows as well, but they do nothing to protect their historic buildings and places, or their culture. There did not seem to be any protective fencing or riot preparation whatsoever. Everyone in France knew it would burn and they let it happen. It’s particularly appalling because if you take tours of historic places in France, whether it’s Notre Dame or a 12th century chateau that makes wine, you will hear the same thing: “It’s remarkable that we were able to recover anything from the French Revolution, but so much was lost.” Everything sacred was burned or melted down for scrap because they didn’t care about western civilization, either. Now, the enemy is different, but the goal is the same. I heard Muslim teenagers in Bordeaux scream “allahu akbar” at a family fair, I saw hordes of Muslims gawk at Catholic Churches; in Paris, they own the city. France, and the West, will fall unless that enemy is removed.

South Korea's stock market is in FREE FALL and the panic surrounding the memory trade is getting completely out of control. The KOSPI just plunged another 7%, bringing its decline to roughly 40% from its June highs. Samsung and SK Hynix are getting absolutely destroyed, and the selling pressure is spreading across the entire AI infrastructure trade. I went on Making Money with @cvpayne today to talk about the memory selloff and why I believe investors are losing sight of what's actually happening in this industry. And now we're getting ANOTHER warning out of South Korea. A new column published by Maeil Business Newspaper is raising concerns that the global memory industry could face oversupply beginning in 2029 as new manufacturing capacity starts coming online. The argument is that South Korea has become increasingly dependent on Samsung and SK Hynix, and that the country has roughly two to three years to develop other growth industries before the memory cycle potentially reverses. Now, I think this is something investors should absolutely pay attention to but here's where I disagree with the panic. We're talking about a potential oversupply problem in 2029 while the industry is still struggling to meet demand TODAY. Memory manufacturers are already dealing with capacity constraints, AI customers are securing long term supply agreements, and demand for HBM continues to grow as Nvidia $NVDA and other AI chipmakers push toward increasingly memory intensive systems. And people need to understand that building additional manufacturing capacity doesn't automatically mean we're going to have an oversupply problem. These fabs take years to construct, equipment needs to be installed, production yields need to improve, and manufacturers still have to qualify their products with customers. Not to mention, HBM manufacturing is substantially more complicated than traditional DRAM, and not all additional memory capacity can immediately be used to produce the most advanced AI memory products. Now, could we eventually see oversupply in 2029? ABSOLUTELY. Memory is a cyclical industry and I've never argued that these companies will enjoy record pricing and margins forever. But there's a massive difference between acknowledging that possibility and acting like the memory cycle is already over. I still believe the fundamentals of the memory trade remain incredibly strong, especially for companies positioned to benefit from HBM and the broader AI infrastructure buildout. Bullish on memory and if you want to see how I’m investing through this selloff and check out my full portfolio below. link.milkroad.com/tx5qip
This selloff in memory stocks makes absolutely NO sense to me. $MU, $SNDK, Samsung and SK Hynix are getting hit after China's CXMT announced progress on its new 4F² DRAM architecture, with plans to introduce DDR5 server memory using the technology by the end of 2026. For those unfamiliar, this technology is designed to pack more memory cells into the same amount of space, potentially improving chip density and manufacturing efficiency. Now, I want to make something clear. CXMT is absolutely becoming a legitimate competitor because acording to TrendForce, CXMT has already captured roughly 9.5% of global DRAM revenue, up from 7.6% the previous quarter, making it the fourth largest DRAM manufacturer globally. The company is also expanding aggressively, with new manufacturing facilities in Shanghai and Hefei targeting more than 600,000 wafers per month, potentially doubling its manufacturing capacity. On top of that, CXMT has reportedly started mass production of its G5 DRAM platform and LPDDR6 memory, while its new 4F² architecture could make memory production even more efficient. But here's why I think the market is getting WAY ahead of itself. First, announcing a new memory architecture and successfully manufacturing it at scale are two completely different things. CXMT still needs to prove it can deliver competitive yields, pricing, reliability, and production volumes. Second, we're currently dealing with an enormous memory supply shortage, particularly as hyperscalers continue increasing AI infrastructure spending. Even if CXMT successfully doubles its capacity, that doesn't automatically mean the industry becomes oversupplied. Demand for memory is expected to grow substantially over the next several years, and we're already seeing manufacturers secure longer term supply agreements with customers. Third, this announcement is primarily focused on conventional DDR5 server memory, NOT HBM. That's an important distinction because HBM is becoming one of the most valuable parts of the memory industry, with Micron, Samsung, and SK Hynix benefiting from enormous AI demand. And SanDisk primarily manufactures NAND flash memory, not DRAM. So selling $SNDK specifically because of a DDR5 technology announcement seems even more questionable. Now, that doesn't mean CXMT won't eventually put pressure on conventional DRAM prices. Increased Chinese manufacturing capacity is absolutely something investors should monitor, especially over the longer term but I think investors are confusing a legitimate long term competitive threat with an immediate change in industry fundamentals. Nothing about today's announcement suddenly creates millions of additional memory chips, eliminates existing supply shortages, or changes the amount of memory needed to power AI infrastructure. I've been saying this for months. The amount of memory we're going to need over the next decade is INSANE. Bullish on memory, if you want to see how I’m investing around the companies that could benefit from this massive increase in global memory demand, check out my portfolio below. link.milkroad.com/tx5qip
