Black Lotus mists grew thick in the air,
A drum covered with a virgin's skin began to beat,
a rhythm like a serpents crawl.
The goddess of the Butterfly temple danced,
her eyes seeing beyond,
to the whispering stars at the edge of the world.
The spores broke apart like rotten grapes,
and the night fairies rose from the ichor.
They spoke softly,
Come with us, warrior. Forget the gods of man who know not joy but only judgement.
Something soft and cold wrapped about my arm and tugged at the axe in my hand.
Where my mind failed my spirit prevailed,
and my eyes grew red with the desire to slay.

The Song of Ryabur found written on a cave in Greenland, translated from Aklo by Franklin Gerrold Deeks while channeling the entity known as Oret Kasorra
When the men of K’n-yan discovered the red-litten world and deciphered its strange manuscripts, they took over the Tsathoggua cult and brought all the frightful toad images up to the land of blue light—housing them in shrines of Yoth-quarried basalt like the one Zamacona now saw. The cult flourished until it almost rivalled the ancient cults of Yig and Tulu, and one branch of the race even took it to the outer world.

Death was not the necromancers great fear for there were methods to cheat death and have the soul linger in the flesh no matter how decayed it might become until another more vital vessel might present itself . No their great fear was that another necromancer might call them up to serve and dwell in their own rot.
In the lotus mists I glimpsed strange shapes crawling in the primal dawn of earth, they raised gigantic towers and trilled hymns to the newly formed Moon. The earth shuddered and their towers fell bringing doom upon them. But some yet live, sleeping in the deep earth beneath the stumps of their once great towers, waking only to speak with the few who might know their language.

Story and art by me
Thasaidon, lord of seven hells
Wherein the single Serpent dwells,
With volumes drawn from pit to pit
Through fire and darkness infinite —
Thasaidon, sun of nether skies,
Thine ancient evil never dies,
For aye thy somber fulgors flame
On sunken worlds that have no name,
Man's heart enthrones thee, still supreme,
Though the false sorcerers blaspheme.

To the Father of Rhan-Tegoth,
was given Ryabur's mate,
To feed the spider-thing's lust for blood,
was given Ryabur's mate,
Beast men howled praises to the spider-thing,
as they gave it Ryabur's mate,
But lo,
A thunder of bloodstained hooves,
The lightning of skullcrushing axe,
Ryabur had found the shrine of the spider-thing,
and he would take back his mate.
