‼️ ICYMI: One of #JAYZ Team Roc latest criminal justice efforts is now tied to legislation in New York. Roc Nation and @teamroc are supporting “DJ’s Law,” which would require police training and model policies specifically addressing officers firing at moving vehicles. The bill is named after Danroy “DJ” Henry, a 20-year-old Pace University football player who was shot and killed by police in 2010 while sitting in his car. Team Roc’s connection to DJ’s case goes back years. In 2020, JAY-Z joined a letter urging the DOJ to reopen Henry’s case and examine potential police misconduct and racial discrimination. Now, that work has extended into policy. On April 27, 2026, the New York Senate passed DJ’s Law 55–5, with Sen. Shelley Mayer specifically citing support from @RocNation and Team Roc. The bill is currently in the Assembly Codes Committee awaiting next steps to be signed by the Governor.

🚨NEW: Today, #JAYZ's REFORM Alliance brought advocates to Capitol Hill for its Safer Supervision Act Lobby Day, taking the push for federal supervision reform directly to Congress. The bipartisan Safer Supervision Act (S. 3077/H.R. 5883) would reform federal supervised release and create clearer pathways for eligible people who are rebuilding their lives to earn early termination of supervision. Throughout the day, advocates and organizers brought that message directly to Capitol Hill, sharing their experiences and calling on Congress to pass the legislation. Since launching in 2019, @REFORM has helped pass 23 bills across 12 states, creating pathways for nearly 850K people to exit supervision. Now, it’s pushing to bring that reform work to the federal level.✨
