Learning "traditional" 3D shading techniques, ss opted to practice using digital drawing tools (they snuck it by me and then I couldn't say no!). This answers the question "why don't you teach art like painting?" I do teach art like painting. Redefining our traditional tools.

Agency is not something to give, rather it is something to be honoured. All students have agency. They have agency in their lives, in their decisions, and in their identity. Agency in learning is simply aligning experiences inside of school with those outside of school. Imagine that.
