One of the most effective ways to keep people from questioning an unjust system is to convince them that their ability to survive it makes them morally superior to those who can't.
Incredibly grateful that my missteps as a child and young adult don’t live in perpetuity on the internet. Completely oblivious at the time of just how much of a gift that would be.

I didn't know there was a word for it, but this is my generation
We're in our 40s. We've seen the good, the bad and the "once in a lifetime" about five times already.
We came home when the streetlights came on. We can programme a VCR, burn a CD and troubleshoot the Wi-Fi.
Most of us still feel like we're in our 20s, half of us still look it.
And we are eternally grateful that our teenage stupidity wasn't being documented, uploaded and permanently preserved on the internet for the world to see.
“Everyone is a cop nowadays” regarding a person facing explicitly outlined consequences for actions they knowingly took of their own volition. Lmao.
Yall are nuts.

I need people understand that understaffing isn't a bug of where you work, or your manager being a dick, but a feature of a system constantly trying to minimize its biggest cost (labor). Every place I've ever worked it's presented as a perpetually temporary problem. It isn't.
My own sensitivity and poor coping mechanisms were an impetus to confronting emotions and conflict head on. I tired of how cowardice felt in my body and decided I could handle whatever consequence was on the other side. It sharpened my decisions and made me powerful.
Something I’ve become more aware of about myself is I have very little capacity for emotional cowardice.
