This year has been so unpredictable, the day before yesterday I got to the Moyale border only to discover that the border was essentially closed because of the fighting across the border and I had to turn back. Online research showed it was open but the situation was worse than reported on mainstream media and Online.

That's your most important prosecution witness in this case, so get him out of the cell and to your side.
𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗡 𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗬𝗔 𝗠𝗨𝗥𝗗𝗘𝗥 𝗜𝗡𝗩𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗚𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 Following yesterday’s update on the recovery of the body of 34-year-old Farida Peter Sangka from a shallow grave at a farm in Entarakuet, Isinya, Kajiado County, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) wishes to clarify the circumstances surrounding the arrest of Ndayishimiye Deo, a Burundian national who initially reported the incident to the police. Preliminary investigations have established that Deo, a farmhand employed by the deceased’s husband, Shon David Rabassa Kioko, assisted in burying her body after being instructed to do so by his employer. On Saturday, 24 October 2026, Kioko reportedly summoned Deo and instructed him to help bury his wife’s body. Deo complied, assisting in burying the body before returning to his own residence, as he did not live at his employer’s premises. Three days later, on Tuesday, 27 October 2026, Kioko went to Isinya Police Station, accompanied by his son, where he reported his wife missing and presented her photograph to the police. Meanwhile, Deo had confided in a friend about what had transpired. The friend, who has since recorded a statement with detectives, advised him to report the matter to the police. Acting on that advice, Deo reported the matter at Kiserian Police Station on Wednesday, 28 October 2026. This prompted police action that led to the discovery and recovery of Farida’s body from the shallow grave. Although Deo’s decision to report the incident brought the matter to the attention of law enforcement, it does not absolve him of accountability for his involvement in concealing the body. Consequently, both Deo and Kioko remain in custody as investigations continue to establish the full circumstances surrounding the murder. The DCI wishes to emphasise that reporting crime is a civic responsibility and a critical pillar in the fight against crime. However, where investigations establish that a person reporting an offence also participated in its commission or concealment, that person’s involvement must equally be subjected to due process of the law. The DCI urges members of the public to continue partnering with the DCI in the fight against crime by sharing information through our anonymous toll-free hotline 0800 722 203 or WhatsApp number 0709 570 000.

Patient 1’s story: ‘I listened to cries of other quarantined patients’ It began without warning. I had travelled from a neighbouring country to Nairobi Hospital to check on a relative, who had been critically ill and needed specialised medical attention. He had travelled from the Democratic Republic of Congo through Uganda. At the time, none of us understood the true nature or gravity of his condition. I walked into his hospital room out of love and concern, sitting by his bedside to offer comfort and silent prayers. #HealthyNation. Read more: zurl.co/KPdaT

For so long we had such terrible keepers, post-Onana trauma made a mid keeper feel like the second coming of De Gea but in reality the guy is such a poor shot-stopper.

Can the good PM lend you to Nairobi for a few years?! We need the corridor and riverside development replicated in Nairobi.
Praise be to Almighty God, who has guided and sustained us! #AddisAbaba Today, the Entoto Peacock Riverside Development Project, stretching from Kechene through Ambassador and Irreecha to Bambis, was inaugurated by H.E @AbiyAhmedAli officially opened to the public. This landmark development represents an important investment in enhancing Addis Ababa’s urban beauty, improving residents’ quality of life, strengthening the city’s tourism appeal, and stimulating economic activity. May God bless #Ethiopia and its people! 🇪🇹

I’ve reported on Ebola for over a decade (& health for over 20 yrs) so I’m not usually surprised to hear disparate theories about disease outbreaks. But recent posts by a number of Kenyan thought leaders have left me dumbfounded. Here’s Dr Wandia Njoya, a university lecturer:
Let's be clear: Ebola did not "spread" to Kenya. The US and Kenya governments BROUGHT Ebola to Kenya, the US out of racist contempt for Africans, and Kenya out of twisted desire to prove to massa that it can meet "international standards" of disease response, and out of its evil greed for US dollars.

I maintain patient zero was really selfish. He put his family and the entire country at risk.
The family of that index Ebola patient are really selfish and must be called out.

This is the main reason why I was opposed to the blanket condemnation of building Ebola quarantine facilities in the country just because it was being funded by a foreign government. We are the ones in need of such facilities now.
CS Duale: So far, we have listed 28 contacts of the deceased, including family members and healthcare workers who attended to the deceased. We are also pursuing a further 23 passengers and four crew members who were on the same flight as the deceased.

Lioness is such a top tier show. Can't remember the last time a show kept me on the edge of my seat like season 3 is doing.

With all these stadiums we are doing for AFCON, if the Federations don't come together and create an East African Premier League (Level 1) and leave the current National leagues to be like our Championship (Level 2), we will have failed as a region. Cc @husseinmoha
UPDATE - A look at the latest construction works at Akii-Bua Stadium in Lira City, as the new facility continues to take shape.

Litigation is the future of law! It will be the last thing AI replaces in our practice.
I actually love practicing law, just not litigation 😩

The details on the piece are incredible. Such a beautiful painting! The artist is very talented!
It was great joining Njideka Akunyili Crosby — a gifted Nigerian-born, Los Angeles-based artist — to unveil our first portrait together. This piece reflects so many chapters of Michelle and my story, and we’re thrilled that it will be on display in the Hope and Change lobby at the Obama Presidential Center starting this Juneteenth.

I understand the misapprehention of this venture and the trust deficit between the people and GOK, but suspending the construction of a facility is an overreach. Will Ebola suspend itself from coming into Kenya until the orders are vacated? We need to be prepared as a country!
BREAKING: Kenyan judge temporarily blocks American quarantine facility and bars the government from receiving anybody exposed to Ebola

HAPPY AFRICA DAY TO ALL OUR AFRICAN BROTHERS AND SISTERS! 63 years ago, our forefathers gathered right here in Addis Ababa and dared to dream of a free, united Africa, and that dream still burns bright. Today, as the proud home of the African Union, Ethiopia stands shoulder to shoulder with every African nation in that same spirit of unity. The work is far from over. Let us move from words to action, from promises to progress. Africa's greatest resource has always been her people, and together, WE RISE! #AfricaDay #Africa #Ethiopia
