💸$13.3 million spent on ads last year Meanwhile: ❌15 nurses left Oakville Memorial due to overcrowding ❌413 jobs cut at Hamilton Health Sciences ❌22 registered nurses cut at Brant Community Healthcare System ❌288 registered nurses cut at London Health Sciences Centre #onpoli #OntHealth
NEW: Ontario’s Health Ministry spent $13.3M on advertising last year, new FOI records show. That brings our tally of the Ford government's advertising spending to more than $90 million across five ministries. The health minister's office says advertising remains an "important tool" for informing families about programs & initiatives. Opposition says the government should be using that funding on life-saving treatments or relieving hospital pressures. thetrillium.ca/news/health/o…

Poor entitled little rich boys. The headline makes it sound like they were going off to fight a war- where in reality they had devoted fans who paid their salaries and forgave a lot of bad behaviours. They both showed an incredible lack of character.

The Ministry of Health won't share an external study of hospital finances. This veil of secrecy on public spending is deeply undemocratic and sadly typical of access to health spending information under the Ford government. ijb.utoronto.ca/ijb-updates/…

Times a billion. Colossal waste of taxpayer dollars to rip out big lanes, will do nothing to solve congestion issues, will put people’s lives at risk. Ontarians should be outraged to be paying for this stupid, wasteful, divisive, rage farming stunt!
"Ripping out these protected bike lanes against the will of Toronto city council is a colossal waste of $48 million. The province’s own experts know it will not ease traffic congestion, it will put people’s lives at risk…” One of the stupidest things I’ve ever seen any politician do to any city. cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/b…

So let's get this straight: Russia just murdered over 65 people in Ukraine in less than 48 hours. Crushed a building on top of sleeping families to celebrate Putin's birthday. And today, the U.S. announces that they are lifting sanctions on Russian diesel and planning to buy some, essentially becoming sponsors of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Just a day after a horrific terrorist attack by Russia that killed so many, and just before the winter when the Russian government screams from all the rooftops that they are going to create a humanitarian catastrophe in Ukraine by destroying our infrastructure. This is just such a low and cruel betrayal that it's hard to wrap my head around...

Let’s say you wanted to construct the most dangerous possible man. How would you do it? You would start with someone naturally stupid, but not so stupid they can’t perform. You’d place them in a privileged family with sociopathic parents who provided no emotional attachment. You’d have them be the second son of a father who rejected his first-born as weak—to the point he committed suicide. You’d raise him to be cruel. You’d introduce him to sadists like Roy Cohn. You’d model belittling women, minorities, and anyone less privileged. You break him down until everyday sadism becomes his lifestyle. By adulthood, you’d have a fully formed malignant narcissist, a psychopath so consumed with his own superiority that he believes everyone is out to get what he has—a paranoid, Machiavellian sadist with no empathy and no morals. You’d give him access to criminals like Jeffrey Epstein who cultivated his sexual sadism and collected compromising information. You’d send him to Moscow to get brainwashed by Soviet intelligence. You continuously feed his narcissism by ensuring he’s rescued from every situation—as if by magic. You’d make him feel legally and financially invulnerable by letting him get away with crime after crime, fraud after fraud, and six bankruptcies. You’d rescue him from the sewer of his life by giving him a prime time TV show based on his narcissistic self-image—a show which celebrated his cruelty as business acumen. You’d let him get away with colluding with a foreign power to steal a presidential election. You’d let him get away with a violent insurrection to try to hold on to power when he lost. And you’d stand by for four years while he plotted to come back and take his revenge. However, you haven’t quite completed the path to the worst possible man, although you have achieved a rare feat. You have successfully created a messianic narcissist with the nuclear codes. Great start! But you must take things one step further: you must give him frontal lobe dementia and drain from his brain any remaining ability to reason, make judgements, or take advice. This will destroy his ability to understand the consequences of his actions. His salience network will be disintegrated, making it impossible to tell what matters—even to himself. You’d surround him with people incentivized to conceal his incapacity to function. You’d fill the federal government and the Pentagon with deviant psychopaths who are perfectly happy to exploit his disorders for profit, ideology, and enjoyment. And then you would create a global emergency of his own making. You’d have him repeatedly fail at everything he tries and have his popularity plummet to historic levels. You’d have him be mocked by the entire world. Finally, as a last straw, you threaten him with losing an election by a monstrous landslide. That’s how you get the most dangerous man in the world.

Donald Trump is insane. This confirms it : “This is the woman who received the Nobel Peace Prize over the Great United States of America, whose Representative, ME, settled eight Wars, and many other things. I know nothing about this woman, and neither does anyone else! In fact, to the best of my knowledge, no one ever heard of her other than the fact that she, very obviously, hates Israel. I don’t know what the woman has done. I settled 8 Wars, with letters being sent from every President and Prime Minister from the countries that I helped to the Norwegian Nobel Committee, and I’m about to settle, or win, two more, Iran and Russia/Ukraine. They’re both happening at breakneck speed but, forget them, it’s the 8 that I’ve already settled, any one of which, in particular, Pakistan and India, would be far more than necessary to win the Nobel Prize. In actuality, I should have won 8 Nobel Peace Prizes, not just 1. The 8 Wars are: Cambodia and Thailand Kosovo and Serbia The Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda Pakistan and India Israel and Iran Egypt and Ethiopia Armenia and Azerbaijan Israel and Hamas Additionally, I stopped Iran from having a Nuclear Weapon, and blowing up the entire Middle East and, ultimately, far beyond! I saved more lives than anyone in History and, as Maria Corina Machado, a truly fine person, stated to the Media when she gave me her Nobel Prize of last year, “Donald Trump settled many Wars, and deserves the Nobel Peace Prize more than any person that has ever received it.” Based on my record of PEACE, a record like no one else has ever achieved, I agree! I got back all of the hostages in Israel, including the final 28, both living and dead, and worked with Hamas to do it — Nobody believed this was possible! I removed the World’s Evil Dictator, Nicolas Maduro, from Venezuela, and am in the process of making Venezuela a rich Democracy. Likewise, with Iran, I stopped them from destroying Israel, the Middle East, and Europe. I am also preventing, on a constant basis, a War between South Korea and North Korea, and Japan and North Korea. Add China and Taiwan, and numerous other hot spots, which have not been involved in Wars, only because of President Donald J. Trump, and the United States of America. I am responsible for having NATO countries increase spending from 2% to 5% of GDP, creating a stronger alliance and defense, another thing that everybody said was impossible to do. I have negotiated the release, and secured the return, of more than 900 political prisoners from multiple countries in Eastern Europe. Additionally, I have brought 196 hostages HOME from captivity, from all over the World, and did it without having paid a ransom, unlike Biden and Obama who would pay Billions of Dollars. On top of it all, I have created a soon to be very prosperous Arctic. Despite all of this, the Nobel Prize was given today to a liberal person who works at the United Nations, who nobody has ever heard of. In all of the Wars that I have settled, I never spoke to the United Nations—they were of no help. The United States of America, represented by me, as your President, should have received the Nobel Peace Prize, but didn’t. This is an indelible stain on Norway, one that will never be forgotten. The Nobel "Peace" Prize has been forever discredited by a handful of Radical Ideologues who are Anti-Democracy, and Enemies of Civilization! President DONALD J. TRUMP”

Mia Schem was a Drake fan. She listened to his music, admired him and even received clothing from his brand. Then she heard him say: “Pray for Gaza.” For Mia, those words landed very differently. Mia was shot and kidnapped from the Nova festival on October 7 and dragged into Gaza, where she spent 55 days in Hamas captivity. She says the wife of the man holding her sometimes fed her only once every two or three days, while his children would taunt her with food and then refuse to give it to her. “They treated me like an animal in a cage.” Mia says she initially believed that perhaps the women and children around her would show some humanity. Instead, she says she saw hatred being taught from childhood: “They teach the children from the beginning to hate, to become terrorists and to glorify death.” Her friend Elia Toledano was kidnapped from Nova as well. He never came home alive. So when Mia heard Drake’s message, she says she was shocked. And she had something to say to celebrities who speak so confidently about a reality they have never lived: “People don’t understand anything. They follow what other people say, like sheep.” “I was kidnapped from my country and taken to Gaza. I know how they treated me there.” That is the part Drake and every celebrity turning Gaza into a slogan should hear. Mia does not know Gaza from TikTok, hashtags or celebrity activism. She knows it because she was dragged there wounded, held hostage, starved and tormented. Before preaching to the world about Gaza, listen to the woman who was actually taken there against her will. Her testimony matters more than any celebrity slogan. Credit : Ynet Photo credit : Dana Kopel

BREAKING: HELL YEAH! Trump gets NIGHTMARE news about his absurd "Triumphal Arch" as the Arlington County government unleashes a massive lawsuit to block its construction. And it gets even better... In their suit, the county's board asserts that the White House ignored a crucial review process in their deranged, rushed efforts to begin working on the President's vanity project. Since the proper process was not followed, construction should not be allowed to proceed. Specifically, the administration failed to properly evaluate the possible environmental impacts of the arch and such analysis is required under the National Environmental Policy Act. Arlington is accusing the MAGA-controlled National Park Service of performing nothing but a "cursory" and "truncated" review of the project. It should come as little surprise that this regime, as adversarial towards the environment as it is, would try to circumvent this key step. Unfortunately for them, the law is the law. The arch — one of several construction projects that Trump is desperately scrambling to erect in the hopes that he might fashion a semblance of a legacy for himself amidst the ashes of his failed presidency — is supposed to go up on an island in the Potomac River that is officially part of D.C., but sits just a few hundred meters from Arlington. The suit urges the court to block any demolition or construction until an “appropriate environmental review” is conducted. Hopefully, the judge sees the light of reason and grants Arlington this injunction. Once Democrats retake Congress in November, we'll have more power to throw up lasting roadblocks to this idiotic waste of tax dollars. Pop quiz: What "triumph" is Trump even hoping to commemorate? The Iran War is a historic, economy-crashing failure and his domestic policies have been just as bad. This man does not have a single real victory to his name and yet he wants to be remembered like Napoleon. Pathetic doesn't even begin to describe it. Please ❤️ and share if you support this lawsuit!

To the father at the farmers market who pointed at my Rottweiler today and told his little boy, “Stay back. Those dogs can turn on you.” You saw her size. You saw the heavy scar across her face. But you didn’t see the lives she saved. Her name is Sadie, and she spent six long years working beside my husband on an urban search-and-rescue team. She didn’t learn gentleness in a clean backyard; she forged it in the absolute dark of human disasters. When a violent tornado destroyed an elementary school, Sadie crawled beneath shifting, unstable concrete debris. She refused to move, barking until firefighters began digging and found two small children trapped underneath. Both were still alive because she refused to give up on them. Years later, an apartment building collapsed after a gas explosion. Shattered glass cut Sadie’s face as she searched through the burning wreckage, but she kept working through the pain until she located an elderly woman buried beneath a staircase. That scar you noticed on her muzzle today wasn’t left by a vicious fight. It is the permanent mark of her devotion to us. She is retired now. Her joints are slower, and her face is graying, but her protective soul remains absolute. I don’t know how many more seasons I’ll have with her, but I know she spent her entire life protecting strangers who will never know her name. We don’t need a flawless appearance to be worthy of love. Sometimes, the most beautiful hearts carry the deepest scars. If Sadie’s legacy touched your heart, save this post and share it to your Stories to honor the senior heroes who gave everything for us.
