BRYAN ADAMS RELEASES NEW SONG called (Lake Ontario), denouncing LAKE ONTARIO name change! I’ve always loved his music now I like him even more! Retweet if you stand with Bryan: he said "all the sane people on both shores know that the current madness will pass, and that Lake Ontario will always be Lake Ontario." 🇨🇦 (Photo Credit: "20130710-ByanAdamsLucca-0019" by Campa, used under CC BY 2.0 / Cropped from original)

Michigan's future depends on the creativity, determination and ingenuity of its people. In a new op-ed published by The Detroit News, Northwood University President Kent MacDonald makes a compelling case for why free enterprise remains the best path toward innovation, opportunity and prosperity. Drawing on Michigan's rich entrepreneurial history and the principles that inspired Northwood's founding in 1959, President MacDonald reminds us that our state's greatest potential lies not in the past, but in the opportunities ahead. The following summarizes President MacDonald’s op-ed for non-subscribers: Michigan’s next great breakthrough won’t come from a committee deciding who should succeed. It will come from someone with a bold idea and the freedom to pursue it. Our state’s history offers compelling evidence. Innovators built global industries here, and entrepreneurs have helped revitalize communities that others had written off. Their achievements remind us that progress begins with people willing to take risks, compete and create value for others. But Michigan’s greatest opportunities are still ahead of us. The next generation of entrepreneurs needs an environment that rewards initiative, encourages innovation and allows individuals to shape their own futures. At Northwood University, this conviction is central to our mission. Free enterprise and the dignity of the individual are not simply lessons from history. They are essential to what comes next. In his recent op-ed for The Detroit News, President MacDonald posits that Michigan’s best path forward is to bet once again on the creativity, determination and ingenuity of its people. Our future is ours to build. Let's ensure the next generation has the freedom and opportunity to do just that.

A tariff is a tax. China or Canada doesn’t pay it. Farmers, American manufacturers, and families at the checkout counter pay it. I oppose blanket tariffs and support free, fair trade that benefits every American.

Northwood University proudly unveiled Sybil Ludington’s Ride, a stunning bronze sculpture honoring the courage of Revolutionary War heroine Sybil Ludington and the extraordinary sculptor Anna Hyatt Huntington. The celebration also brought together generations of Northwood Distinguished Women, recognizing the remarkable women who have paved the way for future leaders. During the ceremony, Huntington was posthumously honored with a Distinguished Women Award. More than a beautiful addition to campus, this landmark will serve as a lasting reminder of the impact of courage, perseverance, and leadership! 💙 🔗 Read more about this historic celebration: northwood.edu/news/confetti-…
