We’re honored to celebrate exceptional leadership across the district by recognizing the 2025 APS Principal of the Year Finalists⭐! Congratulations to Melanie Sithole from Tuskegee Airmen Global Academy, Dr. Jennifer Toney from Springdale Park Elementary School, and Yusuf Muhammad from Phoenix Academy. 60 years ago, a group of brave civil rights organizers marched across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama in the pursuit of justice and equality. Today we’re reminded of their courageous sacrifices, and tasked with the responsibility of doing what we can to carry forward their work.

Day 6️⃣0️⃣ @APS_SPARK 🐉💚🌳
Our 🐉🐉🐉enjoyed spending time @GeorgiaTech 🏀 today for the #BuzzerReaders 📚📖📗celebration with @cadycrew! Our chorus 🎤🎶🎼🎵 performed the national anthem 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 with @MusicAtSPARK, which was also AMAZING! #SPARK15
Once again, Atlanta Public Schools and the Georgia Tech Women's Basketball team have partnered to promote and reward the district's top readers with a positive game day experience! The #BuzzerReaders initiative is designed to promote and encourage children to learn through reading. Thank you, Georgia Tech, for hosting 3,800 APS students to celebrate literacy!
Our yearly tradition of Scaroling is in the books! I am so proud of our chorus and AC singers and the younger kids who were such great audience members! Our Alice in Wonderland group costume was fun! @APS_SPARK @SPARKpto @drjtoney @erickson_sarah_

I love that the @AtlantaSymphony concert story took place in @oaklandcemetery. We learned some history of Atlanta, and Tweet the mockingbird is really buried there! AND it tied in with @MsRannalsArt recent trip with her art club!

I'm learning how to do better prompts for STEAM Journals. We're getting ready for 1st Gr trip to hear the @AtlantaSymphony next Wednesday, and the students will know where their favorite instrument will be onstage! @STEMbieda @APS_SPARK @SPARKpto @erickson_sarah_ @STEMGeorgia
A beautiful day of PD at the @woodruffcenter -- a magnificent string quartet from the @atlantasymphony, BTS tour & getting to hold @recordingacademy Grammy Awards we helped earn.

We do NOT take donations, money, or property for any reason. We do NOT ask for or accept cash donations or volunteers for disaster response. If you encounter someone claiming to represent FEMA asking for money, be careful as that is likely a scam.
