Ngl the quote tweets genuinely don't understand anything, Behaviour is a fucking company, they're not gonna reveal to us WHO fucked up or WHAT'S gonna happen to them, that would be fucking themselves legally if this became a suit.
This weekend, a Dead by Daylight team member awarded in-game content and currency to a creator streaming our game. Although it is not unusual to unlock content to give creators discovering DbD a chance to have a sneak peek at available content, this decision was made without receiving appropriate approvals. Furthermore, the team member's subsequent comments and conduct do not align with Dead by Daylight’s core values.
When concerns about this decision became apparent during the stream, we should have responded by looking into these concerns, not dismissing them.
Unfortunately, we’ve now seen the fallout of this decision unfolding in many conversations across the DbD community. We appreciate and stand with our community’s willingness to ensure our shared values are being upheld, at all times, regardless of popularity, and we’re heartbroken at the inflammatory language now being directed towards our community.
At the same time, threatening employees will never be acceptable, and we’re asking everyone to stop engaging with these posts.
We apologize to our community for letting you down. We have already begun reviewing our internal processes to prevent an incident like this from happening again.
Also if it wasn't obvious enough, I don’t like the peanut guy. I've never seen his content, but EVERY SINGLE fan of his I've seen responding to this drama has done so with slurs or threats. You don't build a community like that by being a good/normal person.
Them saying anything AT ALL tells me they massively disapprove of what happened and don't want it to reflect on the company or its image. I'm not making excuses for what happened but what do y'all expect??? Mathieu Cote to record giving himself 30 lashings???
I will say that despite the Anakin discourse being really annoying, its been kinda refreshing going back to my favorite childhood series. Maybe I should get around to Fallen Order, I'm kinda craving something new and cool I haven’t seen before.
I understand people sympathizing with Anakin and being against the jedi; newsflash, you're supposed to. Its the most surface level subtext.
But you see how the dark side has literally DESTROYED Anakin in both mind and spirit and think "oh thats very bad".

Btw Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones can kick rocks by Revenge of the Sith will probably always be my favorite Star Wars movie EVER. It might be a top ten movie of all time for me even.
