It’s 5 AM and I’m torn on the next horror game. 😈 More psychological horror, survival, or something weirder? Honest thoughts?

We made a retro survival horror game about smth a little too familiar to us as indie devs, WORKAHOLISM. Game: Saint of Chains. Retro survival horror about a workaholic father trying to save his wife & kid from a demonic cult. Devved by a 2 brothers team.

1. I read there are AIs that can clone on a BINARY level, which means even complex AAA games won’t be safe. 2. This Next Fest showed me that even good games couldn’t be found due to the large number of AI slop (one person published even 5 prompted demos) 1/2

Unless something’s done I don’t see a bright future about indie games. As far as I can see now, it’s not who has a good game will stand out. It’s more like who has the MOST MONEY to pay streamers, ads, jester gg, various marketing campaigns will maybe be seen in the slop. 2/2

Okay we actually built a level editor for Too Hot To Hold (Steam Workshop support). Go wild with your creativity!

Was just sitting in the bath and a thought hit me. Horror gamers, what’s the scariest, most unique horror game you’ve played that you’d actually tell people to try?

Okay, I might get cooked for this, but whatever. From psychological horror and survival horror… to a 10-player hot potato game. We really just did all of it. Honest thoughts on the range (and us)?

It all started back in the good old 2015. Just 2 boys who loved video games, especially horror, RPG, MMO and action games. 2 brothers who suddenly thought β€œwhat if we do more? Start learning how to make indie games?”. We knew nothing. Zero. But we started nevertheless.

Finally, we are here, trying out another experimental funny game called Too Hot To Hold - a hot potato stylized multiplayer party game where tiny tricksters and wardens roam a handpainted large world.

Not really sure what the future holds. We love doing what we do, we are so grateful to everyone who supported us and we hope that the video game gods will enable us to continue making more immersive projects in the years to come.
