Strengthening Partnerships, Empowering Youth 🇮🇳 The Special Joint State Representatives & Additional Director General’s Conference 2026 was held at Guwahati on 15 October under the aegis of NCC North Eastern Region Directorate, chaired by the Hon’ble Raksha Rajya Mantri. The Conference was attended by Lt Gen Virendra Vats, YSM, SM, VSM, Director General NCC, the Additional Director Generals of NCC NER and WB&S Directorates, Hon’ble Ministers and senior representatives of the State Governments of all nine States under the two Directorates. ✈️ Air Force Attachment Camp | NCC 51 Assam Air (T) Sqn NCC, under the aegis of Jorhat Group, NER Directorate, successfully completed the Air Force Attachment Camp for 40 NCC cadets of NER Directorate at AFS Chabua, from 25 Sep to 04 Oct 2026. The cadets gained valuable exposure to the functioning of an Air Force Station through visits to the Fighter Sqn, Missile Sqn, Helicopter Sqn, Technical Flight, Administration & Maintenance Sections, Logistics & Armament, ATC, Fire Fighting Section, Crash Bay and Station Medical Care Section. The camp also featured regular health runs, PT, parade, evening games and knowledge-enhancement classes. Cadets interacted with Air Force personnel, gaining firsthand insights into service life, operations and various facets of the Indian Air Force. 🏔️Heartiest congratulations to AS2024SWIA4780054, LCpl Rajasree Roy and AS2024SDIA4780099, LCpl Bishal Roy of 4 ASSAM BN NCC, on successfully summiting Mt. CHALUNG (6,546 m; 21,476 ft). The duo were the only participants representing North East India in the 14 member expedition Team, bringing pride to 4 Assam BN NCC, Karimganj College, BARAK Valley, NCC Gp Silchar & NCC Dte NER, Shillong. 🌟 LCPL Rajasree Roy is BMC & AMC qualified from NIMAS; completed the Mt. Rhenock Expedition in May, becoming the 1st girl from the Barak Valley to do so. 🏔️ LCPL Bishal Roy, BMC from NIMAS & AMC from IHCAE, Sikkim. The duo have now successfully added Mt. CHALUNG (6,546 m) to their mountaineering achievements.
