Can we get more reposts on this?
Pornography doesn't exist in a vacuum. It can shape how people view sex, relationships, and one another. WRAP Week, White Ribbon Against Pornography, is an opportunity to challenge the normalization of pornography and have honest conversations about its potential harms.

"Technology companies have lobbied with over $50 million against bills aimed at basic protection and care for our children, thus sending us the message that our kids’ worth falls below the value of protecting technology companies," writes NCOSE President Richie Hamm.

Survivors should never have to fear judgment for how they respond to trauma or when they choose to speak. Every survivor deserves compassion, privacy, and the opportunity to be heard on their own terms. Women are not objects, commodities, or punchlines. From degrading jokes to the commercialization of sexual content, we must question a culture that reduces women's worth to their bodies! Stand for dignity: buff.ly/nr19Bj4 #HumanDignity #StopObjectification #EndExploitation

Domestic violence and human trafficking are closer to home than many people realize. In this powerful moment from a panel with the Alliance to End Human Trafficking, NCOSE’s Alexandra Bailey shares her own experience and reminds us that no one is immune to exploitation, and it is never the survivor’s fault. During Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we must listen to survivors, challenge the misconceptions that keep people silent, and recognize that modern-day slavery is still happening in our communities.

Here’s how sextortion works. A predator gets an explicit image of a child, real or faked with AI, and uses it as a weapon. But not every predator wants the same thing, and what they want tells you which kind of sextortion it is: •Sexually motivated: they want more images. It most often targets girls. •Financially motivated: they want money. These predators often pose as a girl to get a teenage boy to send one image, then threaten to share it unless he pays. •Sadistically motivated: they want to see a child suffer. They force kids to hurt themselves or others, and they record it. No matter which kind it is, the predator is counting on your child’s silence. One conversation can break that. Get the tools to start it: timtebowfoundation.org/while… If you or someone you love is in crisis, call or text 988 anytime.

This conversation is growing. Parents are watching Disney license technology from @character_ai, which is facing child safety investigations in a majority of US states. This means a pause in @character_ai's liability to parents who lost their children to chatbots. Disney’s new CEO, Josh D'Amaro, has the chance to redeem this tech and make sure everyone with a claim gets the answers and the justice they deserve. floridianpress.com/2026/10/d…

Both misogynistic jokes and rape culture raise questions about how society teaches us to view women. When degrading women becomes entertainment, we must challenge the messages being normalized. Support the fight: buff.ly/nr19Bj4 #EndMisogyny #RespectWomen #EndExploitation

Another major ruling. Another reminder that Big Tech cannot be allowed to operate without accountability. Meta was just ordered to pay $25 billion to New Mexico following findings that it violated state consumer protection laws. And while no dollar amount can undo the harm caused by unsafe online environments, this ruling sends a message that powerful tech companies must answer for their actions.
