We're proud to welcome PACE International Study Centre to the NCUK global community as our first Study Centre in Kyrgyzstan. Based in Bishkek and delivered in collaboration with International Meta Science University, PACE opens a new door for students across Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia. Last week, Dr Suzanna Tomassi, Executive Director of External Affairs at NCUK, had the pleasure of representing us at the @BUILAcommittee 2026 Annual Conference in Glasgow. The two days were packed with thought-provoking conversation, from strategic partnerships and transnational education to student recruitment, data, demographics and the shifting political landscape. The value wasn't just in the sessions themselves but in the networking, so thank you to all who said hello on the day. A few reflections from Suzanna: ✅ Partnerships don't run themselves once the agreement is signed. They need ongoing investment, trust and genuine commitment from both sides to keep delivering value. ✅Data and student behaviour insights are becoming just as important to our partnership conversations as the academic offer itself. Understanding how markets and student expectations are shifting helps us have more informed, more useful conversations with our university partners and Study Centres. ✅And on engaging with government and policy, higher education is competing for attention in an increasingly crowded space. We're often better served by showing how international education helps solve the priorities that matter to governments and communities, rather than simply explaining our own challenges. We are pleased to announce that applications for NCUK Scholarships are now open. Students who have studied an NCUK programme in the 2025/26 academic year are eligible to apply for exclusive scholarships that recognise their achievements. These scholarships make up our NCUK Prize Awards scheme, which also includes Academic Prize Awards for academic excellence. This year we're offering nine NCUK Scholarships (three scholarship awards per category), each worth £2,000. NCUK Scholarship award categories include the NCUK Values Award, NCUK Future Leaders Award, and the NCUK Inspire Award. We encourage students to share their story and be recognised for their work as they prepare for the next steps on their study abroad journey.
