Gladstone wanted to draft the best blocking tight end with the best hands.
Hes primarily a sixth offensive lineman.
He wasn’t going to be there later. Coen wanted him.
Coen hired Gladstone. Coen has an idea of what he wants the team to be and to do. Gladstones job is to find the best players to fulfil that need.
Gladstone got the tight end and the lineman he wanted in the 2nd round. That’s proof he has a better idea of what other teams are thinking than people criticising him.
He’s 14-4. The linebacker who replaced Lloyd is the highest rated linebacker atm.
Tuten is playing much better than ETN too.

I think the plan with Hunter makes sense.
He rotates on defense. Plays 66% of the snaps. Then Coen said he has specific packages so he doesn’t need to learn and keep up with the entire playbook on both sides of the ball all season.
Not to mention the homework. Playing both sides means twice as much time watching tape. Twice the meetings. A lot of the time the meetings will happen at the same time.
We were getting killed up front yesterday. Travis packages are with 3-4 WR and 1/0 tight ends.
We needed the extra help blocking yesterday. So with how the game played out meant they had to abandon the packages they had for Hunter.
They tried one of them. Didn’t work very well.
