Life of a modern day man. If he SUCCEEDS, it wasn't discipline, sacrifice, or years of grinding. It was "patriarchy" and male PRIVILEGE. But if he FAILS? Suddenly the system disappears. Now HE is lazy, weak, and a failure. If he keeps his emotions to himself, he's emotionally UNAVAILABLE and "toxic." If he opens up, he's TRAUMA-DUMPING and demanding emotional labor. If he takes time for hobbies, he's CHILDISH. If he works 80 hours a week to provide, he's NEGLECTING his family. If he speaks confidently, he's MANSPLAINING. PATRIACHY!! If he stays quiet, he's not being an ALLY. If he wants sex, he's ENTITLED. If he doesn't, his gay or cheating. If he's broke, he needs to "step up." If he's rich, it's just PRIVILEGE. That's the contradiction: His SUCCESS is credited to the system. His FAILURE is blamed entirely on HIM. His SILENCE is toxic. His VULNERABILITY is a burden. Eventually, the standard becomes IMPOSSIBLE. Whatever he does is reframed as a flaw. That isn't accountability. That's a NO-WIN game where he loses before he even acts. And then yall wonder why men stop explaining themselves.
