.@ca_thej highlights NGO Monitor’s report on the campaign behind the recent 🇧🇪 🇨🇦 🇫🇷 🇮🇪 🇳🇱 🇳🇴 🇪🇸 🇬🇧 government decisions to restrict trade with 🇮🇱.
The report argues that it “reflect[s] more than government responses to Israeli policies” and is the culmination of an NGO-led BDS lobbying campaign dating back to at least 2012. Disturbingly, NGO Monitor found that several governments financed and consulted with the NGOs involved in those campaigns,
“The NGO Monitor report raises a wider question about the role of nongovernmental organizations in shaping international diplomacy.”

“Meanwhile, dozens of allegations of abuse were brought to MSF’s attention and disciplinary measures were taken; however, the SDC was kept in the dark.” MSF's failure to adequately disclose sexual exploitation by its staff in Chad reinforces the need for independent scrutiny of this powerful NGO. >>
Switzerland has suspended funding for Doctors Without Borders (MSF) after the Associated Press revealed a pattern of sexual exploitation by MSF staff in Chad.

2/ Our research on MSF’s terror-linked employees, resistance to external vetting, and violations of its professed neutrality and medical ethics: ngo-monitor.org/reports/ngo-…
NGO Monitor has documented a pattern of MSF employees linked to terror orgs in Gaza. Our report discusses MSF physiotherapist/PIJ operative Fadi Al-Wadiya and MSF doctor/PFLP member Mahmoud Abu Nujaila. >>
Doctors Without Borders admitted to The New York Sun that a photograph showing a Hamas battalion commander wearing the organization’s uniform was likely of a man it had employed in Gaza

We also identified an MSF staffer involved in recruitment who said: “We were told not to check backgrounds,” adding that “Our Arab staff was greatly concerned because to be in the same room with operatives put all at risk.” >>
Yet, MSF refused to provide staff lists to Israeli authorities for security vetting. Our report calls for external vetting of all MSF personnel and independent investigations into its leadership and oversight failures.

“One thing that we forget is that the Durban Declaration accuses Israel of genocide. This was in 2001! So what we're seeing today is not because of Gaza, it is not unique to the war that's been happening.”
NGO Monitor Legal Advisor @AnneHerzberg14 was hosted by @AbcwatchAu @alliesaus @AustralianJA in Melbourne, Australia to share her experience combating the anti-Israel UN agenda.
“Belgium is also a haven for Islamist and far-left extremists seeking to destroy Israel. including through so-called NGOs registered in Belgium after being banned elsewhere, as promoters of hate and violence.”
NGO Monitor President @GeraldNGOM addressed the Universal Periodic Review for Belgium at the 28th Meeting of the 63rd Session of the UN Human Rights Council where he spoke against Belgium’s failure to address antisemitism.

“It's a good illustration of how [the COI] frankly looked stupid after October 7th when you read this report. Again, it shows their worldview because they can't call Hamas a terrorist organization and they basically imply that there is no such thing as terrorism.”
@AnneHerzberg was interviewed on the @IsraelConnexion radio show about the UN’s Commission of Inquiry on Israel and its weakness on terrorism.

Director of Communications at NGO Monitor @ItaiReu was featured on @IranIntl_En’s Eye for Iran hosted by @NegarMojtahedi to speak about how the upcoming elections in Israel could affect the war with Iran and how circumstances have changed over the past few years.
Hear it from @AnneHerzberg14 herself!

How does an unverified claim become an accepted fact?
An NGO makes a claim. The media reports it. International institutions repeat it. And suddenly, the original claim carries a new level of credibility, often without anyone questioning its source. It's a cycle that can help perpetuate misleading narratives about Israel, with institutions lending undue legitimacy to each other.
In the latest episode of In Conversation with Olga, @olga_deutsch sits down with @adamlevick of @CAMERA4truth to examine how NGO narratives influence mainstream media coverage of Israel.

.@Independent By whom is @alhaq_org respected?"
The media's stubborn refusal to critically scrutinise even the most radical NGOs is among the most egregious patterns of anti-Israel bias.
How about examining the government document explaining why they were proscribed as a PFLP front group?
“That was his response when I asked for an engagement with him about the issue of antisemitism and words that he was using that were offensive; ‘we've heard enough from you today.’”
NGO Monitor Legal Advisor @AnneHerzberg14 joined @IsraelConnexion and reflected on her interaction with Chris Sidoti, member of the UN Commission of Inquiry.
