My man was willing to DIE behind watching the Kansas vs. Baylor game. Major respect
BREAKING: 24 year old man instantly d*es after trying to bring back his homes power during an outage in Kansas City, KS
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The video is from an older unrelated incident; the man survived the shock and is shown getting up in extended footage/aftermath. No reports match a 24-year-old dying while restoring home power in a recent Kansas City outage. mirror.co.uk/news/world-new… kansascity.com/news/local/art… x.com/grunthos14/sta… beinsure.com/news/kansas-ci…

This is a decently interesting question. Doesn't the football team, as a part of the University's athletics department, have a duty to uphold the mission of the athletics department, which, namely, is to try its best to win games? Is this a breach of duty?
Make history and be the lucky season ticket holder to design the opening drive of the home opener when @ZipsFB hosts Robert Morris‼️ 🗞️tinyurl.com/7r4w5b7a #GoZips🦘#MakeTheClimb

Imagine a scenario where the play that the random fan designs a play that results in a pick 6 and Akron loses either 6-0 (missed extra point) or 7-0 (made XP). Should the athletics department/football program be held liable?

From the weird eyebrows to the cauliflower ears to the botched veneers. I can guarantee Jared Kushner has never been in a fight, so the cauliflower ears are beyond my understanding. The botched veneers make sense. But his eyebrows are a war crime

When tampering violates rules, it’s wrong. However, as Counselor @NHooper19 correctly points out, much of what people complain about in these situations is completely legal. The more interesting issue is the good ole boy network that exists in sports at every level—from youth football to high school and college athletics. To be clear, I’m not talking about most coaches. Most coaches are hardworking, ethical people who genuinely care about kids and families. In my experience, many of the best coaches in the profession don’t operate this way at all. I’m talking about a small but toxic group of coaches who view players as something to control rather than something to develop. They preach opportunity and what’s best for the athlete until a bigger opportunity comes along. Great coaches focus on building programs players don’t want to leave. They don’t lose sleep over who might call one of their players. And when a young person earns a better opportunity, they support it—even when it’s inconvenient. The good ole boy network isn’t the establishment. It isn’t the best coaches. It isn’t even most coaches. It’s a small group of insecure gatekeepers who mistake influence for ownership and leadership for control. Players are not property. The job of a coach is not possession. The job of a coach is development. I discuss this exact mindset in this podcast episode: youtu.be/bwKf-wsp9Ag
The good ole boy network BS is so beyond dead. You should be proud for sending guys to D1 programs. You have to adapt to survive. Go find the next crop of guys who get recruited by midmajor D1s. You've done it before!

Common denominator with these types of cases? Florida. I'm a Florida expat so nobody better come for me. That place is hell on earth and then some. I'd rather live in hell than move back there.
Kathleen Thomas was issued a citation in February after a Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputy pulled her over for allegedly using a phone with her right hand. But Thomas doesn't have a right hand. This week, the officer requested that the citation be dismissed. Here's bodycam footage of the traffic stop.

He consistently forgets that Tim Corbin only knows who he is because he pitched for Dayton at Vanderbilt in 2024 💀
I’m sorry man, but your mouth absolutely cannot be writing checks like that when you’re power grunting through 89 mph fastballs. Can’t happen.

. @BeavsOfSoCal this isn’t to shade whatsoever, but Northridge kicked the shit out of Albert Roblez last year, too, and won in extra innings then. That was one of their 15 wins.

Roblez is really good, but so is the Big West.
