π A NEW CHAPTER FOR NIPANC π
It was a real honour to join with the incredible team at NIPANC , and so many of the friends and supporters, for the opening of the new office in Lisburn.
This is an organisation doing such valuable work and it marks an important step forward for NIPANC β providing a permanent base from which to strengthen their presence and expand their reach across Northern Ireland.
The office was officially opened by Margaret Magennis, wife of the late Brian Magennis, a former NIPANC Board member who sadly died from pancreatic cancer in January 2025. It was particularly fitting and poignant to have Margaret mark this important moment in NIPANCβs development.
A new home, a growing team and an exciting new chapter for NIPANC. π Well done to everyone who put in so much work day in and day out to achieve what you have thus far, and much more to come. Thank you for letting me share this special day with you.

π Like most families, my own close loved ones have had to hear those diagnostic words that cut deep: βyou have cancer.β
Yesterday in Lisburn, I saw the next chapter for @NIPANC_ led by Ivan McMinn MBE & Susan McLaughlin, and poignantly opened by Margaret Magennis in memory of her late husband Brian.
Building on the work of Mike Nesbitt & Robin Swann, Iβm committed to keeping cancer care moving forward. Energising, prevention, early diagnosis, treatment, research & support. Time matters!
Hope, not fear. π
